King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark are undertaking a two-day state visit to Lithuania at the invitation of Lithuania’s President, Gitanas Nausėda, following their state visit to Latvia. On the evening of 28 January 2026, the King and Queen attended a State Banquet at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius, hosted by President Gitanas Nausėda and First Lady Diana Nausėdienė. Both the King and the President delivered speeches.
For the occasion, Queen Mary wore a cape-detail belted gown by Elie Saab. The Queen also wore the Diamond Necklace Tiara and diamond earrings, together with King Frederik X’s Portrait Order. Queen Mary purchased the tiara in May 2012 from the Bruun Rasmussen auction house in Copenhagen, along with a necklace made of diamonds, rubies, and spinels, mounted in gold and silver, as well as a matching pair of earrings.
