On December 18, 2025, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared their family photograph featured on their 2025 Christmas card and wished everyone a “very happy Christmas.” The photo shows the Prince and Princess with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The photo was taken by Josh Shinner in Norfolk in April.

Nice family photo, everyone looking nice in their casual wear. I do like the white collar on Catherine’s blouse, adds a feminine touch to an otherwise masculine look.
ReplyDeleteNice photo. It would of been nice to have a photo taken at Catherine’s Christmas event when they were wearing festive clothes and background
ReplyDeleteYes. this is more like a Spring Easter Greetings card
DeleteSpring time in Norfolk; lovely happy family photo.
ReplyDeleteThe photo is for Merry Christmas but the flowers are saying Happy Easter, lol.
ReplyDeleteIt's still a lovely photo of the 5 of them. Wishing them the best of the Christmas season.

What a lovely family picture. It is especially sweet how Charlotte is leaning on her daddy’s shoulder. They seem to be a very loving, tight-knit family.

What a great family portrait, so lovely!
ReplyDeleteAlso: The Wales family wins - a photo from April on a Christmas card... Can't wait to read the upset comments from the Christmas Card Police ;-D
I honestly don't know why people want photos next to Christmas trees. In my family, we have always used a photo with the best memory of during the year. When my granddad passed, our family photo was of the entire family surrounding my grandmum (all her children, their spouses, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren).

I do admit I would love to see something more christmasy! 😊But anyway this is a very wonderful picture!
DeleteI don’t have room to complain. A- I’m not a busy princess and B- our family photo for our Christmas card was taken in August. But my kids are a lot older than the Wales kids. Mine won’t change much in 9 months. Her kids are at the age where they probably have noticeably grown, a little taller and more mature. Prince Louis probably even has his front teeth! So it would be nice to see professional portraits taken recently.
DeleteI also agree with Anon 20:58 (T) that the Christmas photo should be the best one from any time during the year, and not necessarily one taken at Christmas, with snow or Christmas trees. Ours, and those of our friends, are usually from the summer, or when we were on holiday somewhere during the year.

Belle photo de la petite famille prise dans un décor printanier, ce qui ne me déplaît pas du tout !
ReplyDeleteI wish the Wales’s did a festive photograph. This photo was a stock pile taken earlier in the year. We’ve had the same photos for Louis Charlotte George’s birthday as well as Fathers Day. It would be nice to see them in a more Christmas environment.

Adoro questa famiglia, ma avrei preferito una foto con i simboli del Natale…è chiedere troppo?
ReplyDeleteIn my neck of the woods Christmas card pictures are chosen from travel spot(s) during the year, especially summer adventures and spring break. Christmas cards are usually ordered in October so they are ready to be mailed Thanksgiving weekend. MR
ReplyDeleteSame pose of a happy and perfect family straight from a catalogue, plain & classic, classy coordinated colours, nothing surprising but all smiles Wales, no need for more to cheer us up during this festive season 😀 Happy holidays to all readers of the blog !

Personally, I could care less about when the photo is taken. But, the Wales’s have the same photo every year…outdoors, sweaters, collared shirts. It’s an LL Bean ad every time, so I would love something new at some point.
ReplyDeleteI love the setting of this family Christmas photo. With nature and wearing casual clothes. Very authentic, something I can identify with, out with out with Mother earth! . The children are very photogenic, gorgeous photo. They are really growing up! The royal parents look equally lovely.
