King Charles III and Queen Camilla, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife, Elke Büdenbender

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife, Elke Büdenbender, are paying a State Visit to the United Kingdom as guests of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. On December 4, 2025, the King and Queen, together with President Steinmeier and Ms. Büdenbender, attended a reception held in partnership with The Big Help Out to highlight the positive impact of volunteering across communities.

The reception, held in the Inner Hall at Windsor Castle, brought together volunteers from various organisations, including Guide Dogs for the Blind, Royal Voluntary Service, and The Felix Project. Following the event, the King and Queen bid farewell to President Steinmeier and Ms. Büdenbender as the State Visit came to a close.

    There was the usual banquet at the Guildhall for the German president, the Princess Royal was there ,with tiara, and I would say, with a professional hairdo, and a nice glitzy-glitzy dress! and a coat with a somewhat unusual back. Maybe Helen has more ...

    M. Steinmeier est élégant avec son costume 3 pièces. J'aime aussi les cravates argentées des deux hommes. Paloma.

      They are both lovely. I wish she would remain elegant like this all the time. She can have the same style in many different colors, add accessories and heels. Empress Masako does the same and she looks wonderful all the time.

    I like the outfits of mrs Steinmayer during this visit more than those of the queen and more than the outfits she wore at previous occassions. I have a feeling her style evolved to a more elegant style. QC in het usual uniform, not bad but a bit boring and not really flattering around het waist. I would love to see her trying something new.

      I think Elke Büdenbender closes her eyes for the flashes of the cameras. If you are not used to it, her reflex is normal.

    the best Camilla ever looked. same design but elegant with the brooch, stocking, heels (no boots) i wish she looked this groomed every time.

    The black dress looks lovely on the First lady. I love the addition of the single strand of pearls, very elegant. She has looked fabulous on this tour, I have loved her outfits.

    This a working wardrobe. I bet you have a certain style that you wear everyday to work. Leave her alone. Nothing but the same comments everytime. Give it a rest and say something complimentary

    Im giving up reading the comments. They are not nice anymore. Its like being back in the school playground with the whispering, insulting, bullying group. I just like to be informed what the royal families have been up to. Which is what all this about. Think well mental health when youre commenting

      Gee no offence but I thought the blog was about fashion and what we see as pleasing to our eye. Sometime a first glance leaves an impression good or bad.

    Love this frock for Camilla with the intricate and unusual detail on the front.
    Dr Budenbender's choice of a very strict and spare " little black dress"(a la Coco Chanel) surprised me, until I read about her 30-year career as judge. Lawyers and judges often dress soberly to convey their professionalism and respect for the law; so although First Lady is a different type of official role, it may be that from her experience, Dr Budenbender has developed an appreciation of the value of a reserved, simple and unfussy style of dress.     Élégante robe verte qui supporte bien ce plastron original qui se retrouve délicatement au niveau des poignets - Pas d’accord pour que Van Cleef & Arpels soit de sortie !
