Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the Emergency Victim Assistance (EVA) unit of the Brussels Capital Ixelles police zone, following a roundtable discussion on domestic violence held at the Royal Palace on November 4. Established five years ago, EVA is a specialized police service that supports victims of primarily sexual and/or intrafamilial violence.
During the visit, Queen Mathilde learned how the team personally guides victims step by step, how adapted spaces help create a sense of safety, and how a specially trained dog assists victims in feeling confident enough to speak. The Queen also met with staff members and listened to the testimony of a victim. For the occasion, she wore a sky-blue suit by Natan.

Splendid colour, quite nice trousers - although with that material you have to have really good legs or it would easily pucker, but the very short jacket with sleeves that look mistakenly short (I chose a size too small) is a bit of a Natan mystery. Mathilde and good dog is lovely to see.

Queen Mathilde has a short torso, and the cameraman's angle accentuated this further making the whole outfit look weird. But as you can see from the first photo, everything fits well.

She does not need a belt. Not a wide one and not a slim one. She does not need an accentuated waistline. Those endless legs are adorable enough, no need to slim down that good effect by showing us just a tiny bit less adorable parts.

I don’t agree. They look lovely on her and suit her sweet nature. The only thing I don’t really like is the waistline. It accentuates her shorter upperbody vs her really long lovely legs.

حذفI agree that this is a difficult colour for Mathilde to wear. She often wears pale blue -- but usually a tone of pastel blue which has a slightly turquoise cast. This suit is actually slightly lilac; and under the cool-toned fluorescent lights of indoors, it shows as starkly cool against Mathilde's warm complexion. It looks ok in daylight (pic 1) - but the suit simply does not photograph well indoors under artificial light.

Oh come on 19:31, excessive criticism about the color. Why not if she likes it. It looks however a bit like a Summer outfit. But I strongly agree on the criticism towards the photographer for pic 3.

ردحذفThe jacket is inspired on the bar jacket by Christian Dior, which Queen Mathilde has in white. I must admit that the white bar jacket fitted better than this one. It is possible that this suit is bought in the ready-to-wear collection of Natan.
ردحذفNatan has really been knocking it out the park. This is a gorgeous suit, and QM wears it well. The color is soft and flattering. The trouser hangs and sits perfectly on her long legs. The jacket might be a tad tight around the abdomen, maybe if the belt was removed it would help. But overall a beautiful look on HM.

ردحذفAre there certain months one can only wear certain colours?! Was I wrong to wear an Aubergine sweater today on a spring day because i like it? Has someone let Mathilde know she’s accidentally chosen a colour that she enjoys that is on the illegal colour list?!!?
