As President of the Mary Foundation, Queen Mary of Denmark shared a special Christmas greeting on the Foundation’s digital platforms on December 18, 2025, along with two new photographs. The photographs were taken on December 5 at Amalienborg during a Christmas gathering held for Mary Foundation staff and partners.
In her Christmas message, Queen Mary shared her reflections on the past year at the Mary Foundation and spoke about the Foundation’s activities in 2025. Among other things, the Queen expressed the following wishes for the new year:
Christmas is just around the corner, and a new year awaits just ahead. This invites us to take a look back at the year that has passed. There have been both bright and less bright moments.
The darker times can be difficult, but they often also bring new experiences, new understandings, new knowledge, and perhaps even new connections. When we are able to embrace adversity, we can gain greater insight into ourselves, our fellow human beings, and our surroundings.
When we at the Mary Foundation work to make a difference for those who stand outside the community, we do so with great care. That is why knowledge is always the foundation of our work. We need knowledge in order to act, to create change, and to break taboos.
Thank you for the cooperation over the past year. With wishes for a Merry Christmas, a safe and cozy time with those who matter, and a new year filled with hope, curiosity, and community. H.M. The Queen

Élégante jupe dont j’aime beaucoup l’imprimé ; à mon avis, son haut dans une couleur ivoire donnerait une meilleure allure !
ReplyDeleteMy favourite royal ❤️
ReplyDeleteThough I like the colours in the skirt, I am not fond of the print. Nice necklace on an otherwise plain sweater.
ReplyDeletePowerful, heartfelt, eloquent message.
ReplyDeleteI very much relate, I'm doing my on reflection on the past year.
"The darker times can be difficult, but they often also bring new experiences, new understandings, new knowledge, and perhaps even new connections. When we are able to embrace adversity, we can gain greater insight into ourselves, our fellow human beings, and our surroundings."
Genuine, true words, food for thought..
No fashion review needed.
Thank you, Queen Mary.
Merry Christmas.
Beautiful words, P the original. Articulated perfectly!! Hugs
DeleteThis was the combination I didn't like and which we saw already on December 5. The necklace or collar don't go well together with the color and the style of the earrings and certainly not with the animal print of the skirt and the lace details on the sleeves of the sweater. It is a mix I cannot like and I wouldn't know what I would change or what I would keep. There is too much going on here.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Too many textures and colors that don't go with each other and are fighting for attention. A rare overkill from the normally elegant queen.
DeleteMy thoughts as well, I usually love the skirt/ blouse combinations she wears, but not this is time. I would like to give it another chance to the skirt and be surprised, let's see.

It’s possible that it looks much better in person or movement than in a still photo.
DeleteNo good combination!
