On December 8, 2025, Queen Camilla visited the set of the Disney+ TV drama series Rivals to celebrate British television production, youth opportunities in the creative industries, and the legacy of her friend, the author Dame Jilly Cooper. The drama is based on a book by Dame Jilly Cooper. Filming is currently taking place in Bristol. The Queen met members of the cast and crew during the production of the upcoming second series of the hit show.
Set in the 1980s, against the backdrop of the Cotswolds countryside, the award-winning drama follows the high-stakes world of British television, where careers, marriages, and reputations hang by a thread as professional and personal lives collide. The drama stars David Tennant as TV mogul Lord Tony Baddingham, Alex Hassell as Rupert Campbell-Black, and Bella Maclean as Taggie O’Hara.

I am impressed by a degree of authenticity seldom seen in other royals. The lesser degree is very understandable under such circumstances, surrounded by photographers - the higher nonetheless very endearing. Her boots have a pleasant mid-height, not flat but also not too high.

I want to like this familiar skirt suit -- but styled this way, with no brooch or bracelet visible, and a strict collarless white shirt with a stand-up collar, for me it has a somewhat utilitarian air about it, not helped by the the ever-practical zipper instead of buttons or a placket. The various white shirts Camilla usually wears with this suit do tend to give the impression of a traditional work "uniform".
ردحذفBut I did like this suit when she wore it in 2022 with a brooch and necklace, and with a white crewneck top with no collar, which sat lower, and gave a less formal and more open feel to the neckline. I also think a coloured or patterned blouse would go well - like the one she wore in October 2025 under a green frock with brown and black splotches on white.
Another modern restyling would be to wear a black blouse or crewneck top, to coordinate with her black boots, gloves and handbag. Lyra
It won't help. She can wear all her jewelry and looking like a Christmas tree. As long as her clothes are shapeless (or has year in, year out the same shape) and not adapted to her morphology, and as long as she can't wear more beautiful colors it won't make her looking better. She has one red day dress, I think in which she looks much better. Cream is also a color which suits her. Dark fuchsia like Queen Sylvia's Chanel 2 pieces is a color in which we never saw Camilla and I think that must be a good color for her too. As a lady with blond (white) hair she has a much bigger choice because this type of blondes can wear almost every color. I am not a stylist but if I had the chance to style somebody like Queen Camilla, I would make use of the following colours : old pink, coffee with cream, burnt orange in combination with a lighter color like soft beige, lavender, dark yellow, emerald but not in shiny fabrics or lace..... She should stay away from dark green, khaki, greige, grey, taupe, grey blue, all too dark colors. Black of course is a color that sometimes every one has to wear (according the circumstances).
حذفShe can continue to wear the Royal blue because it suits her very well, but she cannot wear always the same colour either.
During winter she favors boots : a good reason to buy boots in other colors than black. Grey boots to go with pink and fuchsia colors, middle beige to go with a lot of colors, ..... and to be completely styled like it should be, adapted handbags and or clutches depending on what she has to keep close to her.
The suit is plain and the color drab. I miss QEII who was always beautifully dressed in colors and fabrics that suited her not to mention her beautiful pearls and brooches. I find Camilla to be a poor substitute in the sartorial department.
