On the occasion of Christmas 2025, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, together with their two children, Count Henrik and Countess Athena, send Christmas greetings from their home in Washington, D.C. On December 18, 2025, the Danish Royal Court released new family photographs. The photos show Prince Joachim, Princess Marie, Count Henrik, Countess Athena, and their dog, Cerise. The photographs were taken by Joachim and Marie.

    They have snow in their garden. In November we had one day a bit of powder snow in the garden and on the street. The day after everything was gone already.
    I wonder if they will be in Denmark this year with Christmas or maybe on New Year's eve and January 1st. They have a lot of stickers on the fridge. Lovely family.

    Very happy photos, fresh, modern, with interesting details. Princess Marie in a blouse with the Stuart Royal tartan, the casserole in her hands looks like the traditional Danish pork roast with the delicious crust, then the Christmas accessories like the cap, the bow, could be Hollywood, but it is much better, wonderful idea.

      In Europe people have also red bows in their Christmas trees. And the children are wearing caps like this one... What I really don't like are the Christmas sweaters with all kind of Christmas prints... and usually worn by men.

    These photos are lovely, natural and authentic. I love the photo of Princess Marie cooking, the roast, fabulous! Countess Athena, how lovely she looks reminds me so much of her beautiful, lovely mother.

      P the original. I was struck how much mother and daughter look alike, its incredible, I had never noticed it before. I love the natural vibe and how genuine and actual these photos are. Nothing doctored or photoshopped. Hugs x
