King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima are undertaking a state visit to the Republic of Suriname. On the second day of the visit, the King and Queen, together with President Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, visited the community centre run by Stichting Buurtwerk Latour (Stibula), which serves the densely populated neighbourhood of Latour. For the occasion, Queen Máxima wore a brown dress by Dolce & Gabbana.

ردحذفOk, so I got the wide-brimmed hat, but this ridiculous inclination is not really my cup of tea. I really like the dress and it is perfect for the occasion, the sandals are lovely. A more down to earth sun hat would have been better, IMHO.

I generally love Queen Maxima’s hats but agree that the angle makes this one ridiculous. I’m also not a fan of the straps on the sandals which I think are unflattering. The dress is smart

Cette robe convient bien pour cette visite ainsi que les chaussures, le tout de couleur marron ; pas du tout fan du chapeau à larges bords !
ردحذفThe yellow and brown dresses (both rewear) are appropriate for a sunny climate. The brown dress had other buttons in the waist before. They are replaced by brown (wooden ?)buttons to match the wooden bracelets and earrings. The brown sandals with straps however do not do her any favor. They are giving me the impression that her legs are cut in 2 parts.
ردحذفThe other (unnecessary) accessories like hats and gloves are not useful in a hot climate.
I always wonder about this thing with sandals; unless they are in a complete skin-tone, you will always see the straps, is that such a bad thing?

Love the fit of the dress, the buttons at the waist and the bracelets. The hat well not my favourite though it is light and airy. The sandals not so much my taste I find it puts her legs out of proportion, cut off.
ردحذفI detest those" flying saucers" hat model. It is so very unpolite towards your hosts who cannot look into yr face from one side. Dress is okay but not QM's colour.
ردحذفI like the details of this brown dress. The fit looks really good, perfect. Her hat, I'm not a fan of, don't mind her sandals.
ردحذفAnkle straps make legs, unless they are incredibly slim, look chunky. The dress is ok but not well fitted at the midriff. The hat is another ridiculous and unnecessary addition. The 'jewellery' is her usual tacky style, imo!
