The King and Queen welcomed approximately 550 guests to the traditional Christmas concert, all of whom had contributed to the successful conduct of royal activities.

  1. All three ladies are wearing lovely dresses, but I wish Mathilde's dress wasn't so shiny/sparkly. It is almost completely sequinned. In the third and last photo, there is the mistaken illusion that the top part of her dress could have been crushed velvet and the bottom part sparkly sequins. I'd have much preferred it if it was like that. I love Elisabeth and Eleonore's dresses. Modern, stylish, and not excessive.

    1. Anon 9:13, I agree with you about Mathilde's dress, it's too sparkly. The both sisters have lovely dresses. I especially like the stars in Elisabeth's dress, beautiful, but not too many and not too sparkly.

    3. It is what you call "festive", for some countries, gold and silver are Christmas colours...I wonder if the Catholic ones.

    4. It’s Christmas. You can’t have too much sparkle! Queen Mathilde’s dress is perfect for the festive season. Princess Elisabeth also looks great, but Princess Eleonore’s dress, although there’s a sparkle in the fabric is too dull. Here’s to more sparkle and more colour in the next few weeks!

  4. I love the festive looking dress the Queen is wearing. This looks wonderful. Love her choice of accessory color. The Sun Gold earrings are beautiful, so effective.

  5. All dresses are nice in general, but...
    1. Puff sleeves are too much for such a slim lady as Princess Elisabeth.
    2. I have the impression that Princess Eleonore's dress is just hanging on her (maybe, I'm wrong).
    3. Looking at the third picture, it seems to me that Queen Mathilde's dress lacks waistline.
The previous year the princesses stole the spotlight with their looks. This year they let their mother shine.

    1. I think puff sleeves are ok for Elisabeth ; they can only be ok for a slim lady. Pr Eleonore's dress is a disappointment for me, too dark, too aging for her. I would like to be able to recommend her not to miss opportunities of young age in her choices. The Queen made a good choice and is shining.

  6. Très belle famille, j'aime beaucoup les tenues et la façon dont elles s'harmonisent entre elles.

  7. Everyone is looking very stylish. This year only Princess Eléonore has a new dress. The dresses worn by Queen Mathilde and CP Elisabeth were new at the finals of the Queen Elisabeth music contest of this year. Princess Eléonore is wearing a clutch for the first time. It is one she borrowed from her mother. I saw a close-up on another website and with the black and white crystals it really matches her dress.

I simply adore sequined evening dresses, bought myself at least a dozen, every hem is welcome to me, from mini to floor length ones.
Gorgeous dresses on Queen Mathilde and Pss Eleonore, the latter looks like she is wearing a navy blue layered sequined gown on my screen.
Last but not least , Pss Elisabeth.
Tasteful, sparkling embellishments on her dress bodice, superb pumps, magnificent earrings.
All ladies are impeccabile coiffed, they ooze class and style.
Classic makeup palettes enhanced by a
" demure" contouring technique, no overkill dewy outcome, well done (as far as I can see on Pss Elisabeth's face).
Great presentations and faultless demeanor from the ladies.
King Philippe looks perfectly attired and groomed for the occasion, too.
    💯👏

  12. My comment doesn't appear although I had interesting information on Princess Eléonore who took for the first time a clutch to wear with her new dress. It is beautiful in black and white cristals. She borrowed it from her mother. Queen Mathilde and CP Elisabeth are both in a dress they wore for the first time this year at the finals of the Queen Elisabeth music conquest. CP Elisabeth is wearing again the Percossi Papi sun gold earrings she seems to favor (On the last picture she is wearing them during a past Christmas concert with a burgundy velvet pant suit). They are all 3 good looking and shining and sparkling.

  13. The royal palace is beautiful again after the renovation works. I like the parket floor which has been renovated too I see, (pictures 2,3,4,9,) and all the chandeliers which been cleaned and spread a cosy and warm light over the walls and the public.

  14. Lovely dresses each style suits the wearer. I think Elisabeth’s dress is a rewear, regardless it fits the occasion. Sparkly and bright for the season.

  15. I saw a video of the entrance of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde and their daughters in my digital news paper and the dresses of the ladies looked much better when in movement.

  16. Princess Eleonore is discreet but is becoming a pretty young lady. Hopefully will see her more.
