King Felipe and Queen Letizia released their annual official Christmas card on December 12, 2025. The Spanish royal family’s Christmas card features a photo of King Felipe, Queen Letizia, and their children, Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía. The photo was taken on October 25 during the presentation of the 2025 Exemplary Town Award in Valdesoto, Asturias.

On the right side of the card are the signatures of King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Crown Princess Leonor, and Infanta Sofía, alongside the handwritten message, “With all our affection and best wishes.” The greeting card is completed on the outside with the coat of arms and the motto, “Service, commitment, and duty.”

      Check the text. The Xmas card showing the dogs was sent by the exiled King Juan Carlos (father of the current King Felipe and grandfather of Princess Leonore and Infanta Sofia) and Queen Sofia, who still performs some royal duties and is pictured often on this website. DIQ

      I prefer the family card! I love the casual clothes and beautiful scenery and much prefer it over the highly stylised card (eg of the monagesques).

      Why Juan Carlos and Sofia are pretending the card is sent by both of them, while everybody knows they are living apart since ages and he the former king is even living abroad ?

    Their handwritten card looks like it is written by one and the same person, which is probably not the case. They all are writing more or less the same way.

    I love both cards! The family card is beautiful and I like the happy, relaxed, informal vibe. The card with the dogs is adorable--gotta say its very relatable because I have friends and family who have sent similar cards of their pets as their Xmas card.

    This Christmas card I prefer by far among other royal ones.
    More personal, closer to the Spanish. .
    " Afecto" says it all, the bond between a royal house and ordinary people.
    Simple and effective.
