On December 19, 2025, Grand Duchess Stephanie presented the 2025 Grand Duke Adolphe Prize to Luxembourgish artist Chantal Maquet for her moving video work Just Listen, which was shown at the Salon of the Cercle Artistique de Luxembourg (CAL). Through her work, the artist confronts the audience with her experience of cancer at its various stages.

The award ceremony took place at the Grand Ducal Palace, attended by Minister Eric Thill and a delegation from the CAL, represented by its President, Mr. Pierre Reuter. In 2026, a monographic exhibition will be dedicated to the recipient of the 2025 Grand Duke Adolphe Prize at the Schlassgoart Gallery in Esch-sur-Alzette.

  1. Sorry, just no. Can think of nothing good to say about the dress at all. One of the BBC weather announcers sometimes wears this dress s and it looks just as bad on her.

  3. I don´t think that dress looks good. It doesn´t look good on the model either.
Also, this is the first time I´m seeing Stephanie with somewhat wild hair. She is usually so well coiffed.

    1. Loving the slightly wild aka not straightened ( possibly more naturally her hair) hair which provides a better contrast to the sleek dress. She looks beautiful and to my eye far better than the model. It’s very flattering while also being cosy for this time of the year.

  6. I wonder if she’d worn black boots and put hair up the look might have been saved.
    Lowri.

    1. I don’t think this beautiful look needed saving!

  7. Oh dear no, not for Stephanie.
The "white traffic lines on a tarmac" design does not harmonise with her curves or her complexion. I can imagine Rania in this dress -- but Rania has brown eyes and dark hair -- which are necessary to balance the high visibility/high contrast of the cream stripes against the black. Stephanie's softer colouring (blonde with blue eyes) is too delicate for this colour combination in such a strict geometric design. Just for comparison, Ms Maquet, the award recipient in the photos, would look much more at home in this frock --- but that's because she has black hair. Lyra

    1. I love your descriptions of your thinking and perspective! I hold the opposite perspective and think there have been few dresses more flattering seen on Stephanie. I think it’s a marvellous look for her that perhaps wouldnt suit many others (including the model).

  8. It's not the greatest dress for sure, but to me it is perfect and complementary for Stephanie's figure. The side white panels viewed from the front make her look streamlined.

  9. Well she’s trying to be more fashion forward, but this isn’t the style for her figure.

    1. Les cheveux – naturellement charmants – un grand oui ; la robe qui met en valeur - un grand oui aussi!

  11. I really want to like this dress but I can't. I think the top portion looks good but the skirt portion doesn't look good on anyone. The white stripe down the side is terrible on both Stephanie and the model--remove that and this dress has real possibilities. Stephanie looks good here otherwise.

  12. Hmmm in some photos this dress looks nice, however I think if we saw it from the back it would not be very becoming because she has a curvy figure

  15. This dress looks nice on GD Stéphanie. A pity her hair is not looking good. With a good hairstyle the whole picture would be much better.

  16. This overall look is not polished or well groomed. Hair looks like lacking in grooming. Not liking the dress.

  17. A mon humble avis, la bande verticale sur le buste ne l’avantage pas ; il me semble que seul, le col blanc aurait suffi !

  18. No, just no. The dress does nothing but look odd. It does not streamline her figure, or anything else, it just looks boxy, odd, is not fashion forward, instead, a step back. I know she is trying to kickstart her fashion since the change in station, but this needs to be put away, never to be seen again, as with all the extremely low v-neck line blouses, dresses. She is elegant, can't quite seem to find her fashion footing.
