On the second day of the State Visit to Suriname, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, together with President Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, visited Villa Zapakara, a foundation focused on the development of children and young people through art, culture, and education. Maxima saura toujours nous surprendre, c’est pour ça que je l’aime. Il faut avouer qu’elle est la seule reine à oser porter cette couleur.

  3. The color is jarring, but she wears it well. Love her brooch.

Maybe a detox in your home environment (=write down all the hateful things and look for a solution for yourself instead of distributing it here) would do some good for you.

A tried-and-true outfit formula for Maxima -- a template which she has worn quite a bit on official visits to warm climate countries. I love the cheeky 1960s summer vibe of the narrow short dress and wrap hat.
Today's wearing is more toned down, paired with a neutral bag and heels. My preferred iteration of this hat-and-dress combination was in 2015 in Bonaire, where she paired it with a fun costume bracelet, matching big earrings and gorgeous yellow bag and yellow heels. Lyra

Vibrant acid yellow and Natan are not my favourite clothes adjectives, but Maxima still looks splendid. If I had to choose, it would be yesterday’s gorgeous large hat over this small one, and yesterday’s refreshing white dress over this one.

  8. J'ai toujours adoré la couleur bouton d'or ; pour cette occasion, elle va bien à Maxima surtout qu'elle l'a très bien accessoirisée jusque dans ce turban/coiffe !

I am not sure whether I like or dislike this dress, it kind of grows on me from having been a big no at the beginning. I think it is actually the "hat" that destroys the look, I am not sure if it fits very well, a large brim hat would have been better and been more in the sun-dress theme.
