  1. Ugly hat parade. I don't like these stupid hats we see these days. My opinion. Merry Christmas.

    1. 14:55 I see it’s your opinion, but it’s not a happy kind one. I hope the rest of your 2025 cheers you up. Let’s look for the positives and offer kind words to one another - even strangers - in the new year. And if we don’t like something that’s not important - eg a hat - let’s choose to keep it to ourselves and not risk upsetting another.

    2. It’s a fashion blog. Can’t say I’m awed by anything, but I really like Princess Eugenie’s outfit. Hat and coat. Princess Charlotte is wearing something different and I like it. I saw the Earl of Snowden’s daughter and she looked very chic. I like Princess Beatrice hat. Nothing exciting. European royals are my fave this year.

    3. If you are so offended that I don't like hats what do you say when people spits on Meghan..please tell.

    4. @09:16 who? This was a website is about royals, not z-list internet celebrities.

    5. Aaah the haters, weird they don't have a problem with b, c and d "royals" only the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

  2. What an array of styles and colours. Some hats match in colour but not is style to the coats. The York girls in their own fashion world so they stand out. Red for the Queen, nice to see this cheery colour on her, though for me I prefer Anne’s colour red. My favourite are the two little girl cousins in their pretty coats, both in fashion colours.

  3. Both Catherine and Charlotte look so very british and beautiful!

    1. Kate is wearing a Blaze Milano coat. Not very British in fact. Not all windowpane prints are British. They originally appeared in some mid 16th century Flemish mills.

Charlotte’s coat is very likely custom made by Catherine Walker, since it is a mini copy of so many of the coats she made for Kate.

  5. The red coat of Princess Anne which she wore for the first time during winter 2024 or was it 2023 has a modern shape and the red color is good for the Christmas events. She is the best dressed so far.
The checks of Princess Catherine's coat are beautifull too. But the coat is too long and too broad in the back, difficult to see. The tartan skirt underneath doesn't match the coat.
Princess Eugenie's coat makes me think of Sherlock Holmes.
Princess Beatrice's belt is too broad.
Duchess Sophie's coat is too long (as usual).
There are a lot of silly hats.

I agree. The British are known for their outrageous hats. Sometimes they simply spoil an outfit. Beatrice’s handbag color is more for spring/summer than Christmas - doesn’t match outfit. Catherine’s outfit is so mismatched - like no thought went into it. Charlotte’s outfit is my favorite - clean lines , coordinating colors.

Paloma.

  10. What fun to get together with your extended family like that and all get dressed up and head to church in a blaze of colour! Love all the different hats and coats. The English tradition of hats and “fascinators” is so fun to watch.

  11. Wow, Queen Camilla looks stunning imo in this shade of red !!

  12. I like the festive red colors of Camilla’s and Anne’s coats the best. The Wales family looks immaculately dressed, but brown would not be my choice to wear on Christmas. I like Sophie’s shoes, and I think I would like her coat if it didn’t appear to be swamping her. Her hat would look better in solid burgundy, I think, rather than the patterned fabric. I am glad to see Beatrice and Eugenie included in the larger family Christmas gathering after what I imagine has been a tough time for them with their parents’ scandals and inappropriate behavior.

  16. Absolutely love the hats! Fun and diverse array that makes me smile. Love Catherine’s deeply colored autumn-hued coat with the hat and stylishly coordinated scarf. Eugenie’s richly colored coat is also beautiful.

  18. Queen Camilla for the win! She looks amazing in red. The rest of the crew in muted colors is not so inspiring, but fun to see so many of the royal family together.

  22. The traditional Christmas Day walk to and from church is a joy to watch, particularly the interaction with the public after the service. All members of the extended family are dressed beautifully and to their own personality. It is the custom for ladies to wear hats in a church as a sign of respect, although not always observed today. Impressed by the confidence shown by the children. Absolutely fabulous.

    2. It is your taste against ours, that's all. To me it is an old fashion vintage coat for a girl who lives now. The dark brown panty hose are not beautiful either.

  24. I thought both Wales Princesses looked lovely. Especially liked Charlotte coat,as others have said it might be a Catherine Walker design. The tailoring is exquisite.
Looking at Lady Louise who is the same age as Lady Margarita yet Lady Louise is dressed in her mother’s coat and hat. Lady Margarita looks stylish and youthful.Would it have been too much of a stretch for Sophie to ensure her daughter was dressed age appropriately. Sophie is the least well dressed of the group. She’s sticking to her too long too much material trend. Shame.
Zara and her girls look nice. I love the relationship they have with the Wales children.
I was disappointed not to see Peter Phillips and his fiancée were not in attendance. Harriet always looks well presented.
Anne & Camilla look well in red.
The York sisters also look fine in their choices. Though Eugenie might have worn a long sleeved jumper under the cape.
