Queen Máxima of the Netherlands is making a four-day working visit to Indonesia in her capacity as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health (UNSGSA). On November 25, 2025, Queen Máxima began the day with field visits around the city of Surakarta. The Queen attended a discussion on financial products hosted by Women’s World Banking (WWB) at Pracimasana Mangkunegaran in Solo.
Afterwards, the Queen visited a traditional batik workshop, where she spoke with women entrepreneurs. The fintech company Amartha supports these women by providing a digital platform for loans, small investments, and online banking through a user-friendly app. The women also receive training in financial and digital skills.

Ah, quelle agréable surprise ; je suis ravie de voir Maxima vêtue entièrement de jaune qui lui va à merveille ; bon choix que cette petite écharpe délicatement imprimée !

ReplyDeleteDisgusting and respectless style, Anon 13:41, making it even worse with this seemingly personal tone - as if you could ever reach the level she represents with her work. I am sure you cannot, using this style says a lot.
DeletePerhaps you can try to adopt some good manners.
DeleteThe scarf(s) are an arrival gift/ritual placed around the Queen’s neck by her hosts. The first one she has tied around her waist in order to receive the second garland.
DeleteOr, a comfortable outfit for out and about visiting a city in hot, humid and windy conditions. Hard to look cool and relaxed, but Maxima does, even if her hair is easily blown in the wind.
Delete@Anon 13:41 Sounds like you took 5 nasty pills too many today.
Delete- Anon 9:13
13:41 You would not appreciate it if you were judged the same way you are judging Maxima. I can assure you that the crowd here could find plenty of fault with your appearance. You have absolutely no concept of what it is like to be a queen traveling internationally, having to cope with the elements and jetlag while having your every move photographed and blasted to the world. You also failed to research her scarf before commenting.
DeleteI found the original poster's (13.41) remarks true to form with Maxima. She is always messy in some aspect of her appearance. This group of photos shows her hair is messy (could easily have been in a low pony tail), and a wrinkled mess of an outfit in a horrible color.
Delete13.41 I know what you were speaking to. She used the dark color belt, then took that off and threw it around her neck. You people who said the disgusting, respect less remarks should look before leaping off the cliff of inane remarks. Besides which, this is a blog about each person's perspective. Instead of criticizing the original poster, give your perspective on Maxima, rather than trying to bully someone who just gave their honest thoughts on the mustardy wrinkled outfit and the messy hair.
DeleteI will only talk about the colors. If on this blog queens/princesses are wearing yellow (also mustard yellow) or olive green there is a whole category of commenters who don't like this color. Automatically when they see one of these colors immediately they start to give the most unacceptable remarks of people who has a bad education. The same goes for several sorts of green. Because they don't like green nobody can like green, because they don't like yellow nobody can like yellow. Stick to your blues, greys, navy, black and white but leave other people wear their choice of colors they like.
DeleteAbsolutely well said and entirely agreed, @ Anonymous 25.11.25- 19:32.
DeleteI am one of Maxima's huge fans and find all of her haters' comments brainless and exceedingly judgemental, if not cruel at times.
That's bullying and harassment at their worst.
I still can't make it out how some obnoxious comments on this lady can get past the filter.
Not my cup of tea for sure.
Ha il viso stranamente più gonfio, forse il viaggio oppure il caldo umido del luogo.
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima looks lovely in yellow. I like her suit, sandals and little handbag.
ReplyDeleteHer face looks less swollen than yesterday upon arrival. Or she must have been very tired or she just had new fillers in her cheek before she started the working visit to Indonesia for UNGSA.
So much better with normal trousers instead of those strange and unflattering culotte she was wearing upon arrival
ReplyDeleteAgree with you. Not the best ever outfit, in my opinion, but so much better than yesterday's that I could forgive anything!
DeleteQueen Maxima was wearing a culotte when she stepped down of the plane. So what ? If she finds it more confortable to wear this type of trousers and flat shoes to sit in an air plane, she must do it.
DeleteQueen Letizia has been wearing culottes when she was supposed to be dressed formal. But of course she is part of the group of queens who cannot dress badly.
I think HM Q Maxima looks phenomenal in this outfit! It’s in the 90’sF with high humidity and she still looks great. I live in the southeastern US and I can assure you as someone who lives with high temps and humidity more than half the year, I am in awe. To my eyes, the color of the outfit is stunning and very flattering on the queen. The contrasting scarf is a beautiful touch that keeps it from being too monochromatic.
ReplyDeleteWell written!,
DeleteThank you 15:17. So much nonsense negative judging from people here who expect a queen to be a fairy tale princess instead of a real woman in varying contexts.
DeleteBack to normal, thank goodness. Scarf was a gift so she couldn’t ditch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nasty comment, Anonymous 13.41. The scarf is most likely a gift from the batik workshop.
ReplyDeleteThe scarf was a belt, before she flung it round her neck. Look at the photos. duh, nasty comments should not be used to bully someone.
DeleteShe looks like a judoka.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nasty comment made by nasty person anonymous 13.41?!
ReplyDeleteMaxima looks lovely. I cannot wear this mustard colour personally, but on her she carries it well. She looks smart and ready for work, especially in the second last photo.
ReplyDelete- Anon 9:13
She looks beautiful
ReplyDeleteI whole heartedly agree. Beautiful!
DeleteNot many people can wear this mustard color successfully but the Queen can and does. Its not a color that appeals to me, regardless, she looks good.
ReplyDeleteSo many excuses for her appearance when those with her are experiencing the same climatic conditions and yet none look as dishevelled. The top would have benefited from a neater neckline, but overall it is a messy image IMO.
ReplyDeleteWhy was the original comment removed? When I read it a few days ago, it reflected the sad truth. Maxima, does not always dress well, or groom her hair, even though she has an in-house salon, or a person who travels with her to take care of the hair-makeup etc.
ReplyDeleteIt is too bad pushy, bullying people took offense to the comments, rather than look at the facts. The woman is married to a King, she should reflect that in all of her duties. Look around, other Queen's, Princesses, Duchesses, all maintain a stylish appearance in heat/humidity, freezing cold, windy, rainy weather, that's part of life.
Maxima constantly flouts basic grooming rules by allowing her thin, sketchy hair to look horrible. She wears outlandish outfits at times, at other times she can dress appropriately, have her hair styled well, and look fantastic. So, a commenter called out the bad points of this hair/clothing style on a particular day. It was that person's opinion, like it or not, that is what this blog is about, each person's personal thoughts of the day. Give it a rest all you bullies. You cannot tramp on someone's opinion, just because you do not like it. It is after all, their opinion, freedom of speech, freedom of thoughts and opinions is what makes the world a great place.
What about bullies bullying Queen Maxima all the time?
DeleteShe is an easy target, isn't she?
You, bullies from Nastiland, please, fly for all those miles and have yourself snapped just after disembarking the plane.
Please, allow other to exert the same freedom of speech and thought to criticize your less than perfect appearance and manners!
Shame on you, people
comfortably sitting on your sofas while producing nonsensical, judgemental comments on a hard working royal lady!
She is defying the obvious jetlag and climate shock while you are keeping on banging on your keyboards so idly in your safe comfort zones.
Please, have some respect for working humans, whether royals or not.
Not everybody can be retired.
Agree
DeleteIt was removed for the right reasons. It contained offensive language and doesn’t belong in a civil dialogue. One can disagree with choices and may have opinions about styling outfits, however it doesn’t justify just about anything. Well done, Administrator
DeleteWell said @11.24!
ReplyDeleteI tend to agree with 11.24, spoken with clarity, not shaming, just stating facts. P. the original, needs to look at herself when commenting about keyboard bullies. Just the other day she posted negative comments, guess that is ok for her to do, but then tell others they cannot post their perspectives, whether negative or positive, refer to everyone as keyboard persons who are retired. Wow. Talk about over-stepping the 'assumption' line.
Delete@ 19:55
DeleteI agree.
If you think it is ok to bully Maxima, please carry on supporting bullies'
Delete" perspectives" disguised as freedom of speech and thought.
I don't know what you mean with your random words about me and I frankly don't care.
I AM NO bully and never will be.
Pity, your attempt at reversing things against me falls flat.
I have to head off to work now.
@19:55
DeletePlease, make an effort to grasp what I meant in my comment.- h. 16:40.
I never said that all retired people here are keyboard warriors.
I just meant that some of them fall into this category, given all the incredibile amount of time they have on their hands to bully Queen Maxima on this platform.
Working people could never have all this spare time, of course.
I am no bully for sure.
What I see and pity in your comment - h.19:55 - is ,once again, a poor attempt at manipulating my words.
Bad choice from you.
P. the original seems to have to justify herself far too much. and trys far to hard to manipulate words, thoughts, to suit her perspective, rather than accept that each of us has a totally different way of seeing/thinking/interpreting a garment, style, etc.
ReplyDeleteI agree totally with the comment that was originally posted, there was NO offensive language, just facts, the person's opinion. When keyboard bullies complain, a post is taken down, it IS censorship, whether you agree with it or not.
