She looks so animated, less formal! She is also without her gloves! I like this more personable (in my opinion) Anne. Her peacoat is fantastic. Simple and classic, she looks great.

I think she wears gloves to dress well, coordinating them with bag and shoes as my mum did in the 50s/60s. My mum dropped the styling but Anne didn’t, which I rather like. So when she’s not formal, Anne doesn’t wear gloves. I agree she does look great here. She’s just so trim and so neat isn’t she?! I also love her jacket which I would call a duffle coat - have not heard your term “pea coat” before and wondering why “pea”?

One can wear gloves to dress formal, but if you have to shake hands with people you have to take off your gloves. That's what I learned from my parents and from the lessions of "good behavior" at school. I don't know the exact name in English but it is "leçons de politesse" in French and "Maatschappij leer" in Dutch.

Paloma.

  8. She’s been such a fabulous patron for the SRU for nearly 40 years. And I think she may have been wearing that same jacket to games for most of those years! She’s great
