The Duchess of Edinburgh is undertaking an official visit to Peru, Panama, and Guatemala. On November 14, 2025, the Duchess of Edinburgh met with the President of Peru, José Jeri, at the historic Government Palace (Casa de Pizarro) in Lima, the capital of Peru. The Duchess also met with Peru’s Foreign Minister, Hugo de Zela. Afterwards, the Duchess met with the embassy staff at the British Embassy in Lima.

ردحذفOf all her allover-floral dresses this is one of the better ones, without frills, without blown up sleeves and quite well fitted. With a shorter hem (which would provide for more Sophie and less flowers) it would be really good. Putting hair behind her ears does not equal a hairdo I am afraid - I would prefer a simple bun or a ponytail for this not outdoorsy, more formal event. Or for all events, actually ...
ردحذفI think her hair is fine as is. It is brushed and off her face, and in keeping with those around her. Very pretty and natural is fine.

حذفI don’t agree with your statement regarding Sophie not being dressed appropriately. She’s neat, clean and respectful - and thus ticks all the boxes for a diplomatic day meeting, particularly in a developing nation.

ردحذفThis dress is less objectionable than the majority of her floral dresses. It is still too long and I don't care for her shoes, though they may look better up close. It is nice to see her hair down. She has hair that is probably difficult for her to style due to the texture.
ردحذفGee I think she looks very nice in this floral dress, my preference would be a bit shorter to bring it into proportion, but it is fine. As far as her hair it is a good length so it doesn’t drag down her natural curl, much better than other royals who wear excessively long hair.
ردحذفLes robes à fleurs sont souvent très appréciées par de nombreuses personnes ici. En ce qui me concerne je n'ai jamais aimé cette robe, je la trouve très triste et évidemment trop longue, sans parler du petit drapé sur le côté, peu visible, qui donne l'impression d'un ourlet de travers.

ردحذفErdem dresses are normally not my favourite, but Duchess Sophie is looking good in this one. Her hair looks much better too.
I always find myself saying ‘if only’ when it comes to Sophie. This dress for me, would have been perfect,if only it had been a little shorter. She seems to lack an eye for measuring what length is the most flattering on her height. I think she thinks the longer the garment the more height it gives her,but it has the opposite effect. I hope one day she allows a seamstress loose into her closet and has all her clothes fitted and hemmed to her particular height and shape.

حذفLowri, I don’t think she “lacks an eye”, but simply has other tastes from yours. I think she buys off the rack and likes the way the sizes fit her as is. Otherwise, she would “allow a seamstress loose” in her wardrobe.
حذفOne must also take into account that not every dress looks better when made shorter. Sometimes it is better not to change anything. Sometimes one can see it immediately that a dress would look much better a bit shorter.
حذفI like this dress, I don't mind the length at all. The fit is good, the pattern of the fabric is lovely, not overdone. She looks very stylish.
ردحذفI wouldn’t mind this Erdem dress if the skirt was about 5” shorter and didn’t have that silly unnecessary side drape that just adds to the cluttered overall look of this dress. Also, there is something wrong with the neckline. There is too much fabric around the bust and shoulders and sleeves.
ردحذفThe drape in the skirt of the dress is repeated at the left shoulder and around the neck. To me the drape in the skirt is not silly, but with the pattern it is not enough visible. In a plain fabric the drape would be more visible and makes sense, but this dress suits her better than the other floral dresses she often takes with her when she is on official visit.
