On November 29, 2025, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, accompanied by their children, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, attended the opening ceremony of the Christmas lights at Place du Casino. The event, organised by Société des Bains de Mer, marks the official launch of the end-of-year festivities and decorations in the heart of Monte-Carlo.

The Princely Family activated the light display, accompanied by Christmas melodies. The monumental Christmas tree lit up first, followed by the five giant snow globes. Shortly after, the façade of the Monte-Carlo Casino illuminated. For the occasion, Princess Charlene wore a paisley jacquard double-breasted coat by Etro, and Princess Gabriella wore a wool-alpaca blend coat and an A-line dress by Dior Kids.

  1. Charlene's coat is a work of art; i like the pattern, and how she matches her long coats with boats, a scarf and gloves, very elegant!

    1. Who knows how she will look later - at the moment, Gabriella is a really pretty little girl, but without any detectable similarity to Grace Kelly, here at 12 years old: https://www.instagram.com/p/B9poBLFnRvp/ .

    2. @Missy I see a family resemblance to her Dad’s sisters in her eyes area - and shaping more like her Mum’s original facial shaping in the lower part. Very pretty as 17:13 says, and always wonderful to see a child’s face blossom into their own beauty.

    3. @17:13 Gabriella resembles her dad, who in turn inherited Grace's coloring and most of her features like eyes, nose and lips. I agree with @13:11, as she becomes older she's resembling Grace more and more.

      Hi Missy.
I completely agree with your comments about Charlene ' s beautiful coat.I would love to know how much it costs.
Just to be anal I think you meant boots rather than boats!
I too think that in some photos Gabriella does show a resemblance to the late Princess Grace.

Agree with you, Missy. Princess Charlene’s outfit is perfect. I love the children in their smart, classic outfits and, like you, have commented before on the resemblance between Princess Grace and Princess Gabrielle. I also see a similarity with her cousin, Camille Gottlieb

  3. Charlène looks beautiful here. I love the picture where she's gazing up at the Christmas lights. And if you have to do camels and browns - this is definitely the way to do it. Fantastic coat, she can absolutely wear the length without drowning in fabric and I think the crisp white scarf and the slouchy-er boots give the look a nice twist.

  4. Love to see photos of the beautiful scene with the huge tree!

As for the fashion, this family keeps turning looking fabulous. The coats on mom/daughter are both beautiful and well fit and the father/soon looks very handsome as well. Can’t wait to see the family Christmas photo!

  7. A pity these children are always dressed to old for their age. I just deleted my comment in which I described what I would change on their outfits, because we cannot write and describe what we see when it is about children.
Princess Charlene's coat has a beautiful color and the print on the fabric is original. I do not like the (leather ?) stitches in the waist area which ruin the fit of the coat. In front it is more or less OK, but seen in profile it is not beautiful and it is not the same as on the model where it is even worse. Her brown leather boots and brown leather gloves are classic and beautiful.

    1. I see it less as old, it is classic-traditional and most royal families do it for a good reason - in order for them not to look too fashionable, which means: not looking somewhat ridiculous when looked at later, because fashions are not enduring, as opposed to classic style. - I never understood the wish that royals and royal children should look as everyone else. It is part of their job to be different and I sure appreciate it. If I want to see "everyone else", I go for a walk in the city.

In other royal families the childeren are dressed like childeren. There are several expensive brands for young children and even when they are growing up. I didn't say they have to look like teenagers wearing street style, but none of the royal families dressed their childeren in haute-couture before they had the age for it.

  9. Toujours le même radotage:"Ces enfants sont habillés trop vieux pour leur âge "
Les vêtements de ces enfants sont achetés dans des rayons pour enfants de leur âge.
    Point.

… yes but one has to admit, they are older styles. The young prince is dressed ready for a career in banking! That said, he might really enjoy it, so I’m not judging it, but saying I definitely see the same as the other commenters.

  11. We’ve seen a shift in image from Princely Family. We see the children dressed in their ‘on duty’ clothes, and then we see them in their own clothes during their downtime. We’re seeing less of the celebrity dressing, and more royal protocol dressing.
Just as it should be. The twins will have decades to come representing their country on the global stage, as will their counterparts George,Charlotte Louis of Wales.
As for today’s look,I’m loving HSH coat! The pattern gives it an old worldly feel to it. Princess and Albert look fully relaxed and enjoying the family time together.
Princess Gabriella looks cute in her white ensemble. Her hair back.
Jacques is growing into a handsome young g chaps, I can see in the years to come he’ll a heartbreaker!

Beautiful photos. The children look perfectly groomed and attired for a festive and public event - high profile. They are growing into in their futures with parents who appear to be watching over them carefully. I am sure their private time is much more relaxed. The 6th photo with Princess Charlene looking upward is stunning. She has an angelic look with minimal makeup and jewelry.

I hope that they will let their children feel that they are perfectly fine as they are, so that their daughter will not feel that she has to undergo the same treatments as her mother. I also feel that we should stop comparing them to their grandmother all the time.

  13. Princess Charlene's coat is beautiful. The color of the boots, gorgeous, really like this color and looking great with her coat. I think she is wearing a cream scarf? the dark brown gloves, offset the color beautifully, great combination. Princess Gabriella looks beautifully groomed and attired, age appropriate. I love what she is wearing. Her earrings are gorgeous, I would wear these!
Prince Jacques, looks wonderful, love his outfit. They are lovely children.

Paloma.
