Love Charlene's hat but I was expecting a dress. The pants are very nice but seem too masculine with the lovely little hat! The kids look adorable altho Jacques is a little too costumy - still very cute. The rest of the family looks somber other than Charlotte and Beatrice but I don't think anyone looks as good as Charlene or Gabriella or Jacques. They stole the show for sure.

I agree about Charlene’s pants. A skirt or dress would look more harmonious with her little hat with the netting.

Yes Charlene could have worn a dress to complement the beautiful hat.
Surprise that Beatrice did not wear a hat, she never puts a foot wrong!

All other ladies look lovely, special nod to Marie Ducret, she was spot on elegant.

    Such a fashion feast.
PC - Looks exquisite in her white suit. The quality of the fabric is easy to see. It looks like a double bonded fabric has been used. Her hat compliments the look, rather than distract from it. Her diamond earrings are stunning.
PG - I like that the twins are dressed as royals rather than celebrities. Gabriella’s red ensemble matches her mother’s suit
perfectly to honour their nations flag.
PC&CC- I know Caroline & Charlotte are Chanel ambassadors so I’m guessing they’re both wearing Chanel. I like Charlottes two piece.
TC - We’re used to seeing Tatiana in more bohemian fashion, this seems a little out of her usual style. It suits her.
BC - To think she only gave birth a matter of weeks ago, looks fabulous. I’m guessing she’s wearing Dior,as she’s one of their Ambassadors.
There was a mix and match from the other female relatives. It’s lovely to see Princess Charlene brother and his family also in attendance.

    2. I like this simple to use scoring system

      Gabriella !0+/10 ---absolutely beautiful
Charlotte 9/10---to my surprise! A really nice Chanel suit for once
      Camille 8/10
Caroline 7/10 --suits this darker colour and her hair is better
Marie 7/10 ---higher if the coat was longer than the skirt underneath
      Charlene 7/10--if only she'd worn a dress!
Beatrice 6/10---too dull and too plain
      Tatiana 5/10--too dark altogether
      Alexandra 5/10--ditto Tatiana
      Stephanie 5/10---reasonably smart but unexciting

      Jacques 10+/10 looks just adorable
India Casiraghi and all the beautifully dressed boys (proper shoes, shirts and ties etc) 10/10

    A lot going on here.
PCharlène: Classy monochrome ensemble. Great pant suit with an aesthetically pleasing silhouette. Maybe Akris? Even the simple white disc hat , I like. Beautiful hairstyle and make-up. Spot on.
PCaroline: A shapesless jacket and skirt. But the colour suits her.
    PStephanie: Generic, bland, and unremarkable.
Charlotte Casiraghi: Nice Chanel suit. I like her whole styling.
Beatrice Borromeo: Classic Dior dress. Pure sophistication and refinement.
    Princess Alexandra: The usual mess.
Children are normally not commented on on this blog, but the 'uniform' on the boy is absolutely laughable, clownish appearance, not worth taking seriously. So why do it in the first place???
    My opinion, you have yours.
    LLL
Tatiana Santo Domingo: Valentino dress. Nice 60's style cut, but still with a bit of her signature boho styling. It works.

You know children are not critiqued on this blog, yet you did it anyway? If you had done a little research, you would know that Jacques wearing a uniform is tradition that reflects his status as hereditary prince and future Monarch. Albert also wore a uniform as a child. As Head of State, Albert currently wears a variety of uniforms.

British Royals have "honorary titles" with absolutely no military experience. It is not something I understand when I believe those honorary titles should go to men and women who have served, but there you have it. It is their tradition. Princess Anne is a "General", an "Admiral", and an "Air Chief Marshall", wears the uniforms, and has never served a day in her life. Prince Edward at least attempted to serve in the Royal Marines, but dropped out after only four months of training. None the less, he has honorary titles as well and wears uniforms for each of the corresponding branches of the military. One day, Jacques will be stepping into the roles Albert currently has. This is not only their tradition but Jacques is training for the future. If you are going to criticize one country's traditions, criticize them all. Or better yet, accept that each country is unique with their own traditions that outsiders have no business weighing in on when it is not causing any harm.

Anonymus 2:01: in countries with a monarch ( and an arms) you are fighting in name of the king:” for King and country”. The King has the highest military rank and can give honorary ranks to those who he thinks wortel of that.
      Monaco has neither of them.

Anon 11:56 What does that have to do with the original comment referring to Jacques that "the 'uniform' on the boy is absolutely laughable, clownish appearance, not worth taking seriously. So why do it in the first place???" It sounds like your problem is more with Monaco in general. Monaco is tiny. What would a country the size of New York's Central Park need an actual military for? Obviously, they have a treaty with France for any actual defenses needed in the same way Vatican City would rely on Italy for outside defenses. It doesn't change the fact that they have protection, Compagnie des Carabiniers du Prince (a type of military), much like Vatican City (a county one quarter the size of Monaco) has the Swiss Guard. Neither has the size or need for an actual military, but they have people in service to protect. Uniforms are a part of it. Albert is the head of Compagnie des Carabiniers du Prince, the Commander in Chief. Albert trained with the French Navy as Ship-of-the-Line Ensign (2nd class), and is currently a reserve Lieutenant Commander, so at least he has served. Like it or not, they have a tradition that the heir, in this case Jacques, (and before him, Albert) dress in a miniature version of his father's uniform--which Jacques has done for several years. I don't pretend to understand every country's traditions and I wonder why some antiquated traditions still stand. This, of all things, is the lowest on my radar. He is a child who is preparing for his future role. Since none of us here will ever be in that position, we cannot comment with any competency. For example, why are little boys dressed in short pants even when the weather is cold? It is tradition. It means something. It is not as common as it once was because times change, but the tradition still stands. I come here to learn about other counties as much as I come here to comment on what the royals are wearing. I don't understand everything or agree with everything, but it is never my place to react so harshly to things that don't concern me. I will question on occasion in an attempt to better understand, but that is all I am entitled to do.

Monaco has no defense forces. A Monegask is serving in the French Army. The fact that Prince Albert has worn a uniform when he was a little boy and now his son, says a lot about the habits in the Grimaldi Family and in the Principauté de Monaco. When they are wearing a uniform they look like the Princes in an Opera or a Musical. Their country is sometimes called "een operette staatje". I don't know the exact translation in English.

As for Charlene, the hat is beautiful on her face but wrongly proportioned for her fragile body in the enormous suit. I don’t know why when we see the Monagesque royal family together that we often see this same unhappiness …or is it boredom?

Princess Caroline has gone natural, her hair and skin are unaffected by treatments, I think she has lovely features, I admire her attitude with all the cosmetic pressure around her. Some people of her age have wrinkles, others don‘t, this is normally genetic, I think your comments are extremely unkind and unrealistic.

Anon. 08:09 comments are not extremely unkind and unrealistic. In Europe people of a certain age all know why Princess Caroline has so much wrinkles : too much sun, too much cigarette smoke, too much of everything..... from her early youth on. Every weekend the first thing we did was looking at the weekend pages of our news paper to see if there were no pictures of Princess Caroline at the swimming pool, on the beach or in a night club with one of her male compagnons and friends. From her skin, I never saw pictures of how she treated it, but her hair ? It is not natural at all, during summer a bit more blond and during winter a mix of blond rests which are shining through the grey and the rest of her natural dark hair.

Princess Charlene's pants are much too wide. The jacket fits lovely, the hat is beautiful but not with the pant suit. The hat looks too bridal.
Charlotte Casiraghi looks very well dressed in her yellow tweed outfit.
Camille Gottlieb coat dress, shoes and gloves are all in a beautiful aubergine colour. Unfortunately the coat looks like a tent.
Beatrice Borromeo : On November 18, when Queen Mathilde wore a suit in the same grey color she received bad comments : no necklace, no brooch, no shawl to add a bit of color.... and she was only wearing a business suit.
The rest of the Grimaldi family was not dressed very interesting and not for a national day in November.
