On November 18, 2025, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the presentation ceremony of the 42nd edition of the Francisco Cerecedo Journalism Award, granted by the Association of European Journalists, which this year was awarded to journalist Fran Sevilla. The ceremony took place at the Hotel Ritz in Madrid.
Queen Letizia wore a new burgundy sequin skirt by Massimo Dutti and a garnet knit sweater by Falconeri. She also wore a gold two-tone chain necklace along with two-tone double-hoop earrings from Parfois.
King Felipe presented the Francisco Cerecedo Journalism Award to Fran Sevilla, a journalist from Radio Nacional de España, ‘for an exemplary career in journalism in the most complex environments, carrying out essential work on the front line of the profession.’ The award is convened annually by the Association of European Journalists under the sponsorship of BBVA and includes a monetary prize and a commemorative medal.
The 4th picture - a close-up of Letizia - is very striking. She is quite elegant, and the burgundy top is a great color on her.

ReplyDeleteWas für eine Begrüßung bei Bild 1. Bei diesen Muskelspielen sieht man wohl erst auf den zweiten Blick auf die Kleidung. Ich mag die Farbe und auch den Rock an der Königin, auch den Pulli. Den Schmuck weniger, aber den König Felipe ; ) er hat so ein liebevolles lächeln und seine Kleidung sitzt immer perfekt. - Dorothe -

DeleteI don't normally like glitter skirts or dresses but this skirt is the exception. It looks superb. Love the jumper, this looks great. Her shoes and clutch are the perfect color. Her jewelry looks interesting, her necklace, is effective, her earrings are pretty. Her makeup looks good, soft waves of her hair looks natural and flattering.

Il ne rehausse pas cette tenue, ne met pas en valeur cette jupe.
Un haut plus élégant aurait été meilleur.
La jupe à sequins est originale. Néanmoins, vu la hauteur de ses talons, une longueur genoux aurait été de mise.
La tenue de la reine Letizia n’est malheureusement pas à mon goût. De même que sa chaîne, qui manque de finesse et de féminité, à mon avis.
Fort heureusement, la couleur bourgogne lui va à ravir.

This outfit is superb on Letizia. The colour is divine, the straight sequined skirt is chic and the right length for evening, and the chunky chain necklace is the perfect accessory to complete the top part of the outfit. Very nice.

ReplyDeleteA very nice outfit on queen Letizia. Burgundy really suits her and her hair looks healthy and beautiful. I like very much the combination of that simple top with a bold necklace and earrings paired with a glitterig skirt. The king looks as good as he always does.

ReplyDeleteLes points positifs : j'admire ses superbes cheveux et son maquillage parfait. J'aime les paillettes, idéales en soirée.
Son sourire et son allure sont magnifiques sur la photo 1.
Les points négatifs : le haut fait penser à un pull, c'est donc un peu bizarre avec la jupe chic. Je n'aime pas du tout ce collier, style chaîne : il manque le cadenas ;-)
Et j'aime bien la coiffure et la robe de la femme blonde (photo 1). Paloma.

ReplyDeleteIt's great seeing Letizia wearing some jewellry for a change especially such a bold piece as this necklace. She usually wears very subdued items. I think it looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteLetizia's skirt is a too glitzy for this event. It looks more suitable for a night out at a discotheque. There is a marked contrast between her outfit and the other ladies.
ReplyDeleteThe sweater tones down the formality of the skirt, as does the chain. We also need to remember that the queen sets the tone. In the sixth picture, you can see a woman wearing what appears to be an embellished dress. I think this was cocktail attire, which Letizia is wearing.
