On November 18, 2025, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the presentation ceremony of the 42nd edition of the Francisco Cerecedo Journalism Award, granted by the Association of European Journalists, which this year was awarded to journalist Fran Sevilla. The ceremony took place at the Hotel Ritz in Madrid.
Queen Letizia wore a new burgundy sequin skirt by Massimo Dutti and a garnet knit sweater by Falconeri. She also wore a gold two-tone chain necklace along with two-tone double-hoop earrings from Parfois.
King Felipe presented the Francisco Cerecedo Journalism Award to Fran Sevilla, a journalist from Radio Nacional de España, ‘for an exemplary career in journalism in the most complex environments, carrying out essential work on the front line of the profession.’ The award is convened annually by the Association of European Journalists under the sponsorship of BBVA and includes a monetary prize and a commemorative medal.
