King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium received four representatives from the organizations Women Wage Peace (Israel) and Women of the Sun (Palestine) at the Royal Palace. Both organizations bring together women dedicated to breaking the cycle of violence in the Middle East. They promote dialogue, foster mutual understanding, and work toward just solutions to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. Their shared goal is a peaceful and sustainable coexistence in the region.

  1. What a fantastic cause. May the women find ways to be powerful against the men who play the war games. Mathilde looks excellent in this suit.

  4. Nice business outfit, maybe some other color ( necklace or top) would enhance it a bit more.

    3. Really Paloma? You must know what is considered an appropriate color in one part of the world will vary in another. There are many countries where white is worn for funerals, and red is the color for brides in China. Those are but a few examples. We are concerned with Mathilde, not her guests. They are from war-torn countries. They probably don't have a vast wardrobe to choose from. It would not be respectful to wear a bright colored party dress and a lot of jewelry when they are there for such a serious reason. I think Mathilde has chosen well.

Paloma.

  8. Queen Mathilde has worn the pants with another top and the top with other pants in the past. Maybe she choosed this outfit because it was not warm during the last days. In the Royal Palace the rooms are high and big and although there have been a lot of renovation works during the last couple of years, I think it less warmer than in the Castle of Laeken.

  9. This is a really well-fitting outfit. The belt on her jacket/top looks like it is sitting on her actual waist, which can be a problem for her since she is high waisted. The length of the pants are perfect! I am glad she didn't wear a blouse underneath. It works well this way. The grey color is appropriate for such a serious meeting. Let's hope something good came from this gathering.

  10. What a worthy cause. And I also like her pantsuit here. Perhaps, just perhaps, the top/jacket could have been a tad longer.

  11. A nice jacket, fits well, colour may look dull but I better they make her blue eyes lovely. I can’t say it is the best constructed garment, the sleeve area seems to be a Natan issue a bit too much fabric in the area.

  12. Oh, how nice... The expression on the Royals' faces is... BOREDOM... for the PRESS/CAMERAS...
Well, Carnival has begun: LAUGHTER or something else...
