On October 2, 2025, the Princess of Wales visited the Royal Air Force (RAF) Coningsby in Lincolnshire to learn about the station’s operational role. It was her first visit to the base since being appointed Royal Honorary Air Commodore in August 2023. Coningsby is one of the UK’s two QRA (Quick Reaction Alert) fighter stations, alongside RAF Lossiemouth.
During her visit, the Princess was briefed on the station’s operational role, met Quick Reaction Alert personnel, viewed a Typhoon aircraft, toured the new Typhoon Future Synthetic Training facility, and met families of personnel serving at the base. RAF Coningsby is home to one of the RAF’s Quick Reaction Alert teams, which remain on standby 24/7 to protect UK airspace. On this occasion, the Princess wore a Prince of Wales check suit by Bella Freud.
I like what Catherine is wearing the straight legs on the pants looks good. Looks like it's getting cooler in the UK so this outfit also looks warm, cosy & appropriate. Mary

ردحذفLovely to see a rewear of this grey pantsuit. Love the pants, they are a good size, fit well and not baggy. The jacket is a lovely style and length. I like the grey t shirt worn. The diamond and sapphire earrings are gorgeous. Love the color of her shoes. She looks splendid, elegant.
ردحذفThat´s a very good suit indeed. Excellent fit, and a great choice for autumn. However, I don´t like the gray t-shirt, it´s a lot of gray, and it makes for a rather drab look overall. Some contrast had been better, ideally some colour. Maybe a dark blue shirt matching the shoes and jewellery, or a dark red.

ردحذفI feel completely the opposite to you. I think this is a beautiful suit for an autumn day, and keeps the focus on the people she’s come to visit, not purely on her. And I adore her hair in this styling. I also think, it’s her hair, so she can wear it at whatever length she enjoys. 10/10!
حذفFirst of all, a person does not cut their hair way too long. When referring to cut hair, it is too short. It is never cut way too long. Second, I have no idea what "flip" you are talking about. She has curls in her hair, but not flips. I think her hair (or extras if she chooses) looks great. I appreciate that she takes the time to style it, or have someone do that.

I have no idea what the first comment "constantly flip her hair all the time" means. I have watched many videos and clips of Catherine over the years and I have never seen her do anything with her hair "all the time!"

حذفThe suit is okay; it was interesting watching the actual live footage of this visit ;she was like one of the men. The shoes are a bit inappropriate especially on the gravel. Not sure what it is about the hair, the condition of it doesn't look great. Appeared to be getting on well with the children/(Tara)
ردحذفI wish that Kate would brighten or jazz up dull coloured suits with more interesting camisoles and tops. She seems to match the inner top or wear black with the suit which is lacklustre.

حذفRoyal fashion is not catwalk fashion, nor is it the newest fashion. Catherine shines when she is supposed to (state dinners, Trooping, evening receptions and the like), but she probably very consciously does not want to shine when she makes a visit for a good purpose and she does not want to be the centre of attention when all other people wear uniforms. This suit is lovely. Pulling her hair out of her face when communicating with other people should be the rule not the exception, fidgeting and shaking hair back irritates me too (if one wants it to be behind one's ear than make a ponytail or a half-updo like this).

Agree that adding color would be a huge improvement, or breaking up the suit into separates would also help. Love her hair styled half back!
حذفThe POWs top is Airforce blue because she is visiting an Air force base. Those criticising her hair, which imo is always lovely, are probably those who give pathetic excuses when the Dutch queen presents herself with what often looks like unwashed, unbrushed hair.

حذفA really beautigul and practical suit. I’d love to own this one. I love the more sombre tonings for the context of the visit. She always gets the dress/context right - knows when to wear colour, when to dress down, when to yo the glamour. She’s clever and thoughtful with her outfits and I see nothing at all to criticise. Her hair is looking absolutely beautiful in this styling and in beautiful condition.
ردحذفI read somewhere, and it seems plausible to me, that Catherine no longer wants to be constantly identified with the clothing she wears, except on formal occasions, and instead prefers to carry a message or whatever you wish to call her presence at a specific event. This smart, yet understated outfit reflects this convincing approach.

But I can’t remember seeing the name Bella Freud very often in the fashion world.
A quick search says that she is a 61 year old London fashion designer who worked with and took inspiration from the famous Vivian Westwood during the period in London of “punk”.
It appears she is the great granddaughter of Sigmund Freud.
