    1. Good question. Even the model wears a top! Maja

    2. A blouse or a top would ruin the look. That big @aninebing golden necklace is enough with this elegant and beautiful suit.

    3. Exactly what Zucchina said. My thoughts as well.

    4. No top for evening. Very elegant look!

    5. Clearly no top, and no bra.
I´m puzzled at the comments saying that a top would ruin the look. I think a top would complete the look. A low-cut black top, just filling in the triangle where the lapels meet, and she´d not only look just as good but also more decent and would be free to lean forward without exposing her chest.

    6. @Anon 14:53 What makes you say she isn't wearing anything underneath her jacket? There are options available for support and modesty.

    7. And I'm puzzled that someone thinks this jacket is not "decent". How in earth could she reveal too much when leaning forward? The jacket fits like a glove and is very narrow so leaning forward would not be "dangerous". This neckline is imo perfect for her and for this suit. @Anon 9:13 and anon at 02:48, perhaps we are not very decent people 🤭.

    8. @Zucchina: If we go by the comments, we must be hugely indecent, lol. (but stylish and quite comfortable :)) )

@Anon 14:53 I doubt that a socially conscious person like Meghan, who has dressed for and attended dozens of these kind of events, would have been in any danger of the fashion situations you've described. She knows her limitations better than anyone else and would have considered them all before deciding how to wear this suit.

    9. Chipping in my opinion too: needs a top. The jacket is too deeply cut to look good without it.

    10. She probably taped the lapels to her skin using double-faced tape :-)
The jacket of course is decent, but the way she´s wearing it might not be if not taped. Yes, it fits her perfectly when she´s standing straight, but she will move around and lean forward, greet people or sit down and eat or whatever. Without anything underneath, she either risks something showing that shouldn´t, or (if taped into position) lapels not moving naturally with body movement.
The suit is meant to be worn with a top underneath, as shown on the model. She can of course style it in whatever way she wants, but it might prompt some people to react or look twice (thought that is likely exactly what she wants).

    11. Of course the model wears a top, her jacket is open 😁. Otherwise it really could be very dangerous for the model to lean forwards.
However I still think - along a few other stylish and comfortable commenters ;) - that Meghan looks much better than the model in this outfit.
Everyone has their own opinion and speculation, I'll move on.

  5. This is a well-cut suit. The lines are very figure flattering. This is the way to take a simple black suit and transform it for a more formal event. Harry looks sharp. I am thrilled that he has gotten away from blue suits.

    1. This hand-holding performance of many public figures is irritating and often means nothing, particularly in the case of Meghan and Harry. In Hollywood there have even been couples who were full of public affection and the next day they announced their divorce.

  13. Humanitarians of the Year? I’m outraged. For all the people in the world working flat out as humanitarians, I feel so sad that this award was given to this rich and privileged couple who do very little for others relative to their resources and fame. Apart from that, nice suit on Meghan but it desperately needs a top under it.

    4. @10:57 Why? Clearly you fail to see the thousands of people affected by war that they support or the parents and kids harmed or are trying to make social or donations to people in crisis Carry on your pettiness is on full display.

    5. 18:26 it is not petty but clever to research charities who attract celebrities and hand out prizes based on no evidence. Have a read on the charity, the CEO, and their admin:output ratios and consider the organisation.

  15. I think Harry is looking quite good. Does anyone know how they were nominated for Humanitarians of the Year? Is it an award they paid to win? Meghan has a nice suit but without a top underneath it’s much too revealing.

  17. My comment was not published, so second try: Serious people at award ceremonies don't need a plunge that deep in their outfit, even less if they themselves are awarded something. This is clear celebrity behaviour. The suit is really beautiful and with a top, it could have been tasteful as well. This way, the eye wanders immediately to the cleavage, not ready to believe that she finds this necessary and appropriate.

  19. This is a strange looking charity: drawing in millions a year but no real output; big mission statement, a few well known names on the board, but no definition of mental health and some really weird word-salad statements regarding purpose and sponsors. Meghan has a good suit here but this event / charity / prize appears highly dubious.
