On October 30, 2025, Queen Sonja visited ROSA in Oslo, the National Assistance and Competence Centre against Human Trafficking. ROSA works to support and assist people who have been exploited and subjected to human trafficking. The acronym ROSA stands for Reintegration, Shelters, Safety, and Assistance. The organisation also operates Norway’s national helpline against human trafficking.
During her visit, the Queen met three women who have been victims of human trafficking. The women shared their personal stories with Her Majesty to shed light on the issue of human trafficking in Norway and the challenges they have faced. Also present at the meeting were Silje Heitmann and Leila Langdalen Sbai from ROSA, Anniken Killingstad-Kristoffersen, a legal expert on human trafficking, and Ane Fossum, Managing Director of Crisis Centres.
