On October 17, 2025, Queen Silvia of Sweden attended the award ceremony of the Swedish Society for Medical Research (SSMF) at the IVA Conference Center in Stockholm. The Queen presented the SSMF Jubilee Prize 2025 to Professor Samir El Andaloussi, who was recognized with a grant of five million Swedish kronor for his world-leading research in gene therapy.
