On October 31, 2025, Princess Kako of Japan visited the Ueno Royal Museum in Tokyo’s Taito Ward to view the special exhibition “Shosoin: THE SHOW,” featuring treasures from the Shosoin Repository of Todai-ji Temple in Nara. Opened in 1972 and managed by the Japan Art Association, the Ueno Royal Museum is the only private art museum located in Ueno Park.
Princess Kako viewed exhibits including a reproduction of the Raden Shitan no Gogenbiwa (a five-stringed lute made of sandalwood with mother-of-pearl inlay), created by the Shosoin Office of the Imperial Household Agency, as well as large high-resolution images of treasures produced by digitally scanning the originals.

hm, a shorter dress than usual. She looks lovely.
ReplyDeletemy words exactly, the dresses are getting shorter and lovely everytime, the shoes are better too.
DeleteSkirt hem higher, heels also higher :-) - but wherever they are, she is neat and pretty and also unique in her choices. She does not break the rules, but moves within their boundaries extremely tastefully. I adore this completely timeless and simple but oh so pretty little jacket over her dress.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit looks good, a tad more modern, I like it. love the color of her shoes. The jacket covering looks fabulous, very pretty ensemble.
Paloma.
She looks great, I like the skirt a bit shorter.
