On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie distributed meals at the social restaurant Vollekskichen in Bonnevoie. The main objective of Vollekskichen, an initiative of the National Committee for Social Defense (CNDS), is to provide affordable meals to individuals who are isolated and/or have low incomes.
Vollekskichen was founded by the CNDS, following the tradition of “soup kitchens” that existed from the First World War until the 1950s. The first CNDS Vollekskichen was located on Rue du Fort Neipperg in Luxembourg. Since April 1, 1993, the City of Luxembourg has made the building on Rue du Puits in Bonnevoie available to the CNDS.

ReplyDeleteStephanie looks great. Her shoes and all the rest are very well coordinated and suit her very well. Guillaume always looks kindly and I do appreciate them both dressing down for visits, but he’s a little scruffy in these few photos. If he were to stand up much taller, and cease holding his hands in front which pulls shoulders down and exaggerates the belly, he would look instantly neater. It IS harder with cotton men’s shirts that get wrinkled… we women can much more easily wear crease free materials even for formal looks.
