Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden are undertaking an official visit to Japan at the request of the Swedish Government. On October 13, the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel visited Hiroshima. Together with Hiroshima Mayor Mr. Kazumi Matsui, the Crown Princess Couple visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. In the evening, the Crown Princess Couple attended a reception hosted by the Swedish Ambassador in Tokyo.
She took a neutral color and made it stunning. I share the wish of others who want her to do more with her hair, even though I wear mine up in a bun all the time! It's just easier when you have something to do and don't want your hair in your face. However, THIS hair piece and her use of the longer dress and the perfect accent of the purse with woodland vines is divine! What a fabulous look!!
ردحذفI am a fun of her bun, considering her busy way of life and considering the photo occasions (not private parties, not places where one puts oneself and one's glorious hair into the focus). This headpiece/headband is very nice on her.
حذفI fully agree with your comments! These kind of less is more outfits are perfect on Victoria, her figure becomes an accessory in itself. The only minor quibble are the ear rings, not really sure I like them, but the purse, OMG.

حذفI love Victoria's dress and especially her headband. I suppose that it is versatile enough that it could be worn two ways - with the floral bit on the top of her head as well, but I prefer the way she has worn it here, with the flowers under her bun. It is less attention-focused this way and a sweet surprise from behind. Her whole monotone look in this pale caramel colour is simple and very respectful for visiting the Hiroshima memorial.

@Anon 9:13, agree! I think too that her headband looks fabulous with her signature bun. It softens her look and her whole outft shows respect. She has a beautiful small clutch with painted flowers. Perhaps a gift..?

ردحذفThis could be a boring outfit given the color, but the great cut/length of the dress and headband raises this to a fabulous outfit. Love the shoes and clutch as well. I feel like this would be a great approach to royal dressing for the Princess of Wales.

What a lovely outfit that hits all the right tones for this visit: Sophisticated and elegant, yet subdued and respectful; Feminine with an attractive silhouette yet muted in colour. I´m normally not a fan of this kind of non-colour but for a visit to this memorial site, it really is just right. She chose perfect accessories as well that really make the outfit: the headband elevating it from boring to interesting, and the brown shoes and bag providing some contrast and working really well with her hair colour. The embellishment on her purse fits right in with Japan and is very tasteful. The jewellery is lovely but doesn´t take centre stage.
ردحذفI understand that in Japan, dressing in the colours of the season is traditional, and Victoria has certainly done that with this brown ensemble, and in particular the autumn leaves on her headpiece, which may be seen perhaps as representing the souls lost. While I dont think this colour suits Victoria at all, I very much respect the intention behind it. Lyra
