On September 3, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands paid a visit to the chapel of the Kloosterkwartier (Monastery Quarter) in Veghel. This residential area was developed on the site of the Franciscan Sisters’ Convent and the former Bernhoven hospital grounds. It now accommodates various social organizations, and new housing has been created for people both with and without care needs.
Queen Máxima of the Netherlands began her visit with a conversation with the nineteen Sisters who still reside there. She then visited the laundry, the billiard room, and the chapel. The laundry is operated by people distanced from the labor market, the billiard room serves as a meeting place for those experiencing loneliness, and the chapel, after renovation, will provide space for several social organizations.

This is a beautiful two-piece outfit and it is perfect for the nature and place of Maxima's visit. It is simple yet elegant, and the lacework and linen fabric give it a light and airy feel. It also suits and fits Maxima perfectly.

Other than the puffy sleeves, I like this outfit very much. Love the fabric and the whole overall look. She looks so youthful and seems to just bring energy to a room.

حذفReally agree. Queen Maxima projects vitality and youth with her enthusiastic attitude toward everything she does. Others have given some good descriptions of the dress. I like it with the simple sandals. Brown and white/ivory are great combinatins. I like that she has toned down her jewelry a lot in the last year or so (for the most part).

ردحذفA cropped top reveals skin. If it does not do that, than it is a short top. If she is "unkempt": you simply don't know. One can express dislike in a less rude/more polished way.

For me the combination doesn’t work: the delicate top on the wide skirt and the rather gros shoes and bag.

حذفShe is wearing a quite normal pair of sandals. These sandals with the large block heels and in cognac brown nubuck leather are still very fashionable. There are other queens and princesses who wear about the same shoe type.

I even like the puffy sleeves, they give a good balance with the wide skirt. I agree that the sandals could be in a lighter color, but those don't look bad either. حذفTo my eye this dress is not the best choice for Maxima - it doesn't flatter her lovely figure, particularly the top. The heels and straps of the sandals are also too heavy for the dress, which is better suited to footwear that appears light and dainty - as shown on the model. Overall, for me, a miss. Lyra

حذفToday most royal families take the same number of holidays as other families with children. Queen Maxima and King Willem Alexander their summer holidays start at the beginning of July. The exact date is not always the same. They are ending at the end of August. They also take a week or two (Nobody knows exactly) at Eastern. During what we call "crocusvakantie" they usually stayed a week in Lech, Austria with the other "van Oranje" and Princess Beatrix. (I don't know if they still do that every year, now that their daughters are almost all three adults and Princess Beatrix is perhaps getting to old). I assume that Queen Maxima takes sometimes a plane to Argentina to see her mother and other family members, which is quite normal to me. In the past she sometimes visited her home land just before or just after a working trip to one of the project countries sponsored by the UN. I normally do not count how many holidays someone else can take during a year, whether it is a royal or my neighbour. That is why I asked if she/he was jealous.
She needs a better bra.

حذفDo you know what? Bra fashion has fortunately gone in a more natural direction. And especially in summer it can be even more naturaI, without bra 😉. I understand that women with larger breasts don't feel comfortable in bras that are not supportive enough. However Maxima's upper body looks fine to me in this top, but I'm not obsessed with anyone's body parts.

ردحذفVery nice rewear of a classic summer set that Q Maxima has apparently had since 2014. I like the shape of the sandals but would personally prefer a lighter tone. I like the heel height and width of the toe band. Doesn't look constricting.
