On September 9, 2025, Queen Mary of Denmark attended the naming ceremony of Denmark’s first electric tugboat at the Cruise Terminal in Copenhagen. The ceremony, attended by more than 100 executives from Denmark’s maritime sector, saw Queen Mary officially name the vessel Svitzer Ingrid. The tugboat will be recharged using renewable energy supplied at the Port of Helsingborg. Ingrid is Svitzer’s first fully battery-powered tugboat.

Svitzer vessels in Scandinavia are traditionally named after figures from Nordic mythology, and Ingrid is no exception. The name also carries a royal reference to Queen Ingrid. This marks the second time Queen Mary has named a Svitzer vessel, having previously named Svitzer Marysville in Melbourne, Australia, in 2011.

A nice cheerful outfit. I love the two tone flats; however, I think, especially with flats, a shorter skirt would look much better, even for a tall slim person like Mary.

I disagree. I do not care for the blouse and the flats are just fine with this length of skirt.

To my eye, this is a (rare) miss for Mary. Not only is the black skirt too long and heavy for the spring-like blouse, (a lilac skirt would look gorgeous) but the Chanel-style shoes bring in another aesthetic altogether, as well as making the overall proportions look unbalanced. I think Mary should reserve the black skirt for funerals, and choose plain, one-colour shoes to coordinate with this blouse. Lyra

When you say the skirt is “too long”… too long for what?

Midi skirt can be difficult to style, especially with flat shoes, and with high neck blouse I would have put hair up...but somehow Mary still pulled off this look and looked very elegant and stylish.

Fabulous: fully electric tug ! I love the skirt length and style with the flat shoes, and ofcourse stunning blouse. I think a different colour in the skirt might have looked even better.
