Queen Camilla Visits the Headquarters of ShelterBox in Truro

On September 2, 2025, Queen Camilla visited the headquarters of the charity ShelterBox in Truro, Cornwall, to meet staff and volunteers and to mark its twenty-fifth anniversary. During her visit, she unveiled a plaque to commemorate the occasion. The charity aims to foster thriving communities and prevent hardship by rising to the challenges of growing inequality, climate change and the lack of affordable housing.

During an official visit to Pakistan in 2006, Queen Camilla was introduced to the charity’s work and was impressed by its mission to provide emergency shelter to families affected by disasters. She soon became a committed supporter, later serving as President of the charity in 2007 and becoming its Patron in May 2021.
