On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Princess Anne attended the Edinburgh Riding of the Marches, one of the city’s largest public events. The Edinburgh Riding of the Marches is a reenactment of a historical practice in which the city’s boundaries were checked on horseback to ensure that the landed gentry were not encroaching on land belonging to the common people. The tradition was also carried out in the 29 Riding Towns of Scotland.
The lady is in her element, nice riding clothes
ReplyDeleteFabulous. What a terrific woman. And gets even better with age. Earlier, I never saw her smile so often.
ReplyDeleteLove your comment. Every word, so true.

Photo 4 is marvelous !!
ReplyDeleteAnne looks fantastic, I do like the colour of her jacket. The horse looks pretty smart (Tara)

What a lady! One can only admire her.
ReplyDeleteLooks fun! Anne has very interesting gloves. For me the best dressed is the man in the red vest at the end … perhaps the mayor?
ReplyDeleteI haven’t seen Anne smile like this in years - great to see her enjoying herself.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful horses. They remember me the Lippizaner white horses who are walzing at the Spanish Reiterschüle in Vienna. The Lippizaner receive an extraordinary care program so they are looking even better than these white horses.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous horses and a lovely, happy Princess Royal in her element. Great set of photos
ReplyDeleteOMG! She is an incredible woman and Princess. She is in her element here, smiling and loving being in the saddle. She looks so happy and engaging. She is a real jewel in the crown, I think she is superb, all class and dignity.
