On Friday, September 12, 2025, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan, together with Princess Aiko, paid a visit to Nagasaki Prefecture. That morning, the Emperor, the Empress, and Princess Aiko departed from Tokyo's Haneda Airport for Nagasaki. Later the same day, the Imperial Family laid flowers at a memorial tomb in Nagasaki Peace Park, and visited the adjacent Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. The visit is the imperial couple's first to the atomic-bombed city since the emperor acceded to the throne in 2019.
Mother and daughter look very elegant. I wish Aiko wears her dresses about 2" shorter than she is. This length makes her a bit older. But always a nice smile.

It seems to me PAiko suit is too big for her. Her mother looks very polished in the pant suit. Her feet seem swollen, despite the comfy shoes.
ReplyDeleteRecently, the Empress's feet always seem swollen.
DeleteI'm worried that her shoes might be too tight.
Lovely Mother And daughter.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteOn the two blue outfits, the jackets aren’t sitting quite right - possibly because they’re sitting over shift dresses - or maybe the ladies sat for a long time in a car to get to their destination. The jackets look a little big but it can also be how the dresses sit … but to date with this outfit styling I’m not sure we’ve ever seen the jacket off to see the dresses! The white piping on the blue is really beautiful so I’m sure they’re beautifully sewn outfits, I just can’t quite work them out from these photos
ReplyDeleteI love the b/white ensemble pantsuit, very smart and stylish. The pants are a good fit and length, love the jacket. Always wonderful to see the single strand pearl necklaces worn.
ReplyDeleteThat hat is adorable on Aiko! I love it. I do hope, though, that as time goes on she will wear a number of different hat styles (in addition to this one), which Empress Masako, for whatever reason, prefers not to do.
ReplyDeleteQuelle mauvaise coupe que les jupes des dames. Et que dire des chapeaux. Portant quand je vois des japonaises å la télé elle me semblent être å l’avant-garde de la mode.
ReplyDeleteEmpress Masako's pant suit in navy and white is very nice and is fitting well.
ReplyDeleteAll the rest is too long and too wide and doesn't fit at all.
Princess Aiko looked so beautiful in her light blue pant suit and the white dress and jacket on September 6 and 8. What she is wearing here is much too old for her. She is dressed the same as her mother.
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely outfits from Empress Masako. I love the trouser and chequered jacket, super flattering. The skirt suit is a beautiful shade of ice blue, and really showcases HM’s Pearl jewellery. I find her to be such an elegant and graceful lady.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to see the Princess wear a style that suits her age but in keeping with the classic look we’ve come to see from the ladies of the Japanese royal court.
Lowri.
