Funeral of the Duchess of Kent Held at Westminster Cathedral in London

The Princess of Wales, the Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duchess of Gloucester, the Duchess of York, Lady Amelia and Lady Helen Taylor

On September 16, 2025, the Catholic funeral service of Katharine, Duchess of Kent, was held at Westminster Cathedral in London. The Duchess passed away on September 4 at the age of 92 at Kensington Palace. The service was attended by senior members of the Royal Family, including King Charles III and the Prince and Princess of Wales. The Duchess’s husband, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, was seen arriving with, Lady Helen Taylor.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of York, Princess Alexandra, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Flora Alexandra Ogilvy, Lord and Lady Frederick Windsor, Lady Gabriella Kingston, Lady Amelia, Lady Marina, and Lady Sarah Chatto also attended the Requiem Mass at Westminster Cathedral. The Duchess will be laid to rest at the Royal Burial Ground at Frogmore, Windsor.

  2. I am surprised (and not in a positive way) to see the Yorks there. I mean because of the Epstein-connections. In my view they should have stayed at home.

    Catherine's "funeral dress" is a re-wear (she also has it in red), it is a beautifully simple and elegant dress. The Duchess of Gloucester is her always elegant self, and the Duchess of Edinburgh looks good in black - minus her hat. A hat like this is, let's say, not everybody's taste, sure not mine, but better suited for a balcony appearance than for an occasion like this, where you meet and talk to people and your hat can be a disturbance. Sarah Ferguson also does not disappoint - by flashing her thigh at a funeral.
