On September 2, Queen Máxima paid a working visit to infrastructure projects in Amstelveen, Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, and Hilversum. The visit focused on applying principles of circularity. The program began in Amstelveen at the InZicht Information Center, part of the project to widen the A9 motorway between the Badhoevedorp and Holendrecht interchanges, within the Schiphol-Amsterdam-Almere program.
Afterwards, Queen Máxima visited the bridge over the Bullewijk in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, which is being completely rebuilt as part of the A9 widening works. The reconstruction emphasizes the reuse of concrete: the beams that once formed the bridge deck have been removed and are being repurposed in other road construction projects across the country.
In Hilversum, Queen Máxima was briefed on the Asphalt Recycling Train (ART) and shown how the machine operates. The ART renews old asphalt on site, transforming it into new road surface. This method of road maintenance is almost entirely circular, as all material is reused.
A no for me, but given that she put on some overalls I guess, it is appropriate.
ReplyDeleteThe height of those stilettos!

DeleteI agree, it's painful and the position of the feet isn't exactly elegant, but hey, if you want to look super slim…ok……
Quel plaisir de la revoir, la pétillante reine Maxima !
ReplyDeleteJ’aime beaucoup sa paire d’escarpins; de même que la couleur de sa blouse, que je ne peux identifier.

Maxima looks great. I love the outfit - just two pieces that go very well together and fit her very well too. It is a very nice look.

Maxima a su bien choisir la couleur de sa blouse ; c’est peut-être une impression mais il me semble qu’elle s’est affinée ?
ReplyDeleteI like all the pieces but not together. So, vacation must be over, back to work. That works for me.
