On September 16, 2025, Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the opening of the Nordic Archive Days 2025 in Oslo. The main theme of the conference was the importance of archives in society, serving as our collective memory for future generations. National Archivist Inga Bolstad and Minister of Culture and Equality Lubna Jaffery were also present at the opening.
The National Archives of Norway is an independent government authority under the Ministry of Culture, and comprises the National Archives, eight regional state archives, the Sámi Archives, and the Norwegian Health Archives. The Nordic Archive Days are held every three years as a collaboration between the national archives of the Nordic countries, and this year marked the 27th edition of the event.

The lady in the lilac pantsuit looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAgreed…beautiful color, fit and love the silk garment underneath in a darker tone. Beautiful
DeleteReally? I don't think garments that look like silky underwear are appropriate - even if it is fashionable today.
DeleteAbsolutely, she’s radiating confidence and elegance. Lilac is such a striking choice, soft yet bold, and it flatters so many skin tones. The tailoring must be spot on too, because a wellfitted pantsuit can be just as glamorous as any gown. It’s refreshing to see powerful silhouettes paired with delicate colors.
DeleteBeautiful, unfussy elegance. Lately M-M has been choosing trouser styles that look really good on her.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree. Very classy look.
DeleteI do like the lilac suit - although I don’t particularly like it paired with negligee-type top; would prefer a white tshirt for instance. As for Mette Marit, she always looks sweet but I don’t see the upper and lower garments particularly coordinating. I think the jacket would look better more open at the neck, fitted a bit at the waist, and a little longer - or with other trousers. But when I read the context - a conference - so her role was probably to sit and listen, it does look a comfortable outfit … and for me, nothing is more important in fashion than practicality!
ReplyDeleteShe is wearing the new type of blazer : shorter and not fitted at the waist but straight.
DeleteI do not like the neglige top. It has been fashion years ago but a white or black tshirt (depending on the color of the pant suit) looks much more classy.
DeleteAnon 15.16 That shade of lilac is both soft and striking, and the darker cami adds just the right contrast to keep the look grounded. Her choice of accessories really pulls it all together too, coordinated but not matchy matchy, which gives it a modern edge.
DeleteTout de suite, je dis oui pour la dame dans son tailleur lilas ; je suis certaine que nous allons lire des propos acerbes mais il en faut pour tous les goûts !
ReplyDeleteOh, the Lilac pantsuit looks gorgeous, the lady on the end is wearing. Love this shade of color. The darker cami underneath works in well. Love the color of her shoes and bag. She looks beautiful. CP MM looks nice, but no co ordination in her outfit.
ReplyDeleteMM is dressed perfectly for this kind of event. She looks great. Nice to see other types of jacket instead of these suit and blazers we see all the times these days.
ReplyDeleteNice looking Pss again today.
