Queen Max is still in Greece with the girls?
Marilene is best dressed. Mabel has a Max Mara outfit I really like. She looks now a bit 'girly'. Always has great hair and posture.

Why didn’t they ask princess Beatrix along for the trip ? It is her ship and she seems to become lonely sometimes !!

You forget that Princess Beatrix is not young anymore. She is using regularly a walking stick lately, maybe she preferred to stay quietly at home. She is not lonely I think, she has a lot of grandchildren and Princess Margriet (her sister), Princess Irene (her other sister) and all her nephews and nieces who visit her. What they are doing in private is not always published in the press. It is known that she has good contacts with her daughter in law Princess Mabel. But I think she also has good contacts with every member of her big family.

I am quit sure most Dutch people very much appreciate seeing him dressed down like this every once in a while - or they don't care ;)

Are you suggesting he should have worn a suit to go sailing?⛵️

Prince Maurits was there in an official capacity. As the patron of SAIL he opened the event by ringing the ship’s bell.

You cannot expect him to conduct a boat in a suit, white shirt and tie.
When former Queen Beatrix set sail herself on her yacht the "Groene Draeck" (green dragon) she was dressed in her sports gear too. Let him enjoy his last summer holidays. Princess Mabel and her daughter Countess Luana are also dressed in comfortable clothes.

      @ 15:28 (continued)
Prince Maurits and Princess Marilene stepped down from another boat (yacht). From what they are wearing Prins Maurits and his wife seem to be there as visitors not conducting a boat themselves. Princess Marilene's hair is much shorter than before. I preferred her with longer hair, but I understand that a good haircut can sometimes have a good effect on someone's hair.

" Come on", did you expect him to come up dressed formally and with a sash on while going sailing??
      But seriously!

Someone doesn’t like this royal to say such awful things. He is on a boat having fun at a sport he likes. It is not like he is shirking his duties for a few hours or a day of fun. Really these are people not gods.

On a Dutch website I saw pictures of King W.A. taken just before the Sail started. He was in the company of a group of men who served together with him in the Dutch Navy. They were all dressed in polo's and sweaters ready to take part in the SAIL themselves. @ 15:28 Would you really king W.A. made a
fool of himself by wearing a formal suit ? You are definitely not Dutch or you don't know anything of Dutch customs to suggest he should have dressed differently. You didn't even got it that the polo he is wearing is the official polo of the SAIL. Did you read the introduction ? All kind of ships from all over the world are coming together in Amsterdam to celebrate the 750th anniversary of this maritime and cultural event and tradition.
