On August 31, 2025, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, and their daughters, Princess Amalia, Princess Alexia, and Princess Ariane of the Netherlands, attended the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix at the Zandvoort Circuit. Princess Margriet and Prince Pieter-Christiaan were also present at the race. The 2025 Dutch Grand Prix, officially known as the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix 2025, is a Formula One motor race.
Nice outing for the whole family. I like Arianas outfit also Maxima's. Amalias is so so, I don't care for Alexis short set and booths. Oh well to each their own.

Totally agree.
DeleteYes I agree as well.
DeleteOn Dutch websites about Royalty one can read that Alexia is wearing what all fashionistas are wearing in London. Leather knee boots, shorts and an oversized jacket.
DeleteI do not think she has a hairdresser most days. While it did look windy, all the more reason to tie it back or put it up. Yes, many woman have thinning hair during and post menopause. There are wigs and other hairstyles that can be done for hair like this. It is no excuse for messy, unkempt hair, especially when you hold the title of "queen."
DeleteGood for the Queen having a bubbly, they all look great! Dlh
ReplyDeleteI guess Max’s hairdresser had the weekend off. Alexia’s outfit is a little too ‘70s hoochie, and she’s trying too hard with the posing. Amalia looks like she’s wearing a horse blanket - ugh.
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteAgree about Alexia. She is definitely a stunner, but her posing is somehow too much.
DeleteAlexia is not posing more than the others.
DeleteAbout the "hairdresser", I see above all that it was quite windy.
DeleteEveryone has wind blown hair, it is an outdoor event. Have you ever stopped to think she lost hair from menopause or childbirth as happens to some women. She is beautiful despite her hair.
DeleteAt times there was a lot of wind yesterday even stormy and where I was it rained a short time.
DeleteYour comments made me LOL! 😂 Completely agree!
DeleteAriana, Maxima and Amalia look great. I particularly love the sandals the Queen is wearing, she has a great Pedi! I love well groomed toes and feet! LOL! Alexis looks good, she seems smaller, not body shaming at all, but its quite noticeable.
ReplyDeleteNot bodyshaming but quite noticeable : well said, it is.
DeleteAlso noticeable: she seldom looks amused or happy. Studying in London should be the time of your life.
I agree with yr comment about the shoes. But have a better look at her toes
DeleteYes right
DeleteIt is Ariane and Alexia. The names are written correctly in the intro.
DeleteI thought the same about Alexia. I hope everything is okay. CC
DeleteAlexia likes to pose with the sulky look models display. She has an eclectic taste in fashion. Not my style but she is young. Ariane has such an engaging smile and dresses nicely. Amelia dresses a bit more mature, but suit her stature. Max in a very nice skirt.
DeleteIt is Amalia not Amelia.
DeleteAmelia comes from the French name Amélie.
Amalia comes from a German princess one of King Willem Alexander's ancestors whose name was Amalia of Solms. It is after that princess king WA named his eldest daughter the crown princess.
Think everyone looks great--informal, relaxed, and enjoying time together. Alexia's outfit is very much a fashionista look right now for young women in her age group. Amalia and Ariane are dressed fashionably period. One thing I have to say--I have no idea how Queen Maxima can keep her sandals on! The strap across the arch is good but the only other part of her foot held in place is her big toe. I would never be able to keep the shoes on much less stand and, especially, walk in them!

I do like Maxima wearing the simplicity of cream, repeated in her skirt and cardigan, and accented with gold accessories. Catharina-Amalia looks elegant in the camel suede coat; she has the height to wear it out over her shoulders and it contrasts well with her black outfit. Lyra
ReplyDeleteI think they all look great. They are still in summer mode, and even though near the end of the season, their outfits are all perfectly fine for the time of year, including Alexia, who is simply another trendy young lady like countless others her age. She, like the others, exhibits her own style and persona, as is her right and choice.
ReplyDeleteIt is obvious that all five members have undergone degrees of weight loss in recent times, but to me it seems more pronounced in Alexia in these photos. They all look healthy and happy however, which is the main thing.

If Amalia's coat is real leather it must be havy to wear. If it is in alcantara it. is light to wear.
ReplyDeleteOn picture N°6 Maxima has a funny face.
Good to see Princess Margriet and one of her sons at Zandvoort too. I think her son is involved in the organisation of the Zandvoort race.
I find it not fair that it is always Alexia on whom there are comments that she is posing too much. The others (mother and daughters) are posing too but in a different way.
* heavy, instead of "havy"
DeleteLooks like a fun event for the royal family. The Queen and young ladies each look nice in their own styles. I imagine it’d be a lot of fun to have a glass of champagne with Queen Maxima!
ReplyDeleteSince it is an automobile race it can be champagne they are serving. But it can also be a cocktail served in a champagne glass. Not visible on the photos. These days champagne is served no longer in the so called champagne glasses but in a beautiful wine glass often used before the beginning of a meal to serve apéritive or with the first course to serve white wine.
DeleteTo me, Alexia looks, and for some time, has looked, ill and starving. I feel sorry for her. I hope she will do well, but it is a worry.
ReplyDeleteAlexia has always been the thinnest of the 3 sisters. Now that Ariane (the youngest) is growing older one can see she is as tall as Maxima. Alexia is the shortest. It is not because your sisters are taller than you are that you are ill. Alexia looks like Maxima. Amalia and Ariane are looking more like the "van Oranje". Especially Amalia who looks like her grandmother Princess Beatrix.
DeleteEra la più bella, non so cosa le sia accaduto. Essere in forma non vuol dire sembrare malata.
Delete15:48 I agree. While I totally appreciate her clothes and being young and trying different fashion and would never criticise a young person’s choice - except to say it’s cute! - her weight looks unhealthy.
DeleteSo good to see the family back safe and sound from their holidays.
ReplyDeleteAnd hopefully well rested.
Queen Max and the girls need to pump a ton of moisturising cream into their “sun-kissed” skin ASAP to block the eventual long term damage which won’t look nice when they get older.
I’ve paid a high price for the damage I did to my skin in my younger years.
p.s. Nice to see Princess Margriet joining in for the fun occasion.
p.p.s hope we’ll see the results of Queen Max’s shopping expeditions in the Greek fashion boutiques
.
R.I.P. lieve oudtante)
Je Nederlands is prachtig lieve Astrid.
DeleteGetekend : iemand uit België
They all look nice in their own way.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if one the Dutch readers could explain why the grandson of Princess Margriet and Mr Pieter van Vollenhoven, who was at the GP as well, uses the last name of his Great-grandfather, Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld, and is called Lucas van Lippe-Biesterfeld. Is that customary in the Netherlands?
The only thing I can answer to this is that it has been explained once on a Dutch website what the reason was of this name change. But honestly I can't remember what the explanation was. Maybe try to google the complete name of Lucas before and after and you will probably find some sources which explain the reason of the name change.
Deletethe name of
On one of the sites by the Dutch Royalty watchers I read that the coat CP Amalia wears is an old coat that belongs to Queen Maxima. I think it is real leather.
ReplyDeleteA very relaxed look from the ladies. All enjoying the last days of Summer together as a family, and looking lovely doing it.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
The girls look nice: Amalia and Ariane simple but ok. Maybe Amalia’s coat is too big and a little early in the season. I especially like Alexia’s fashionable style. To me it seems she has the most fun with fashion and is experimenting. I love that. I don’t think she looks unhealthy but always looks a bit sulky, but I guess that’s unintended. Maxima and Willem Alexander look disheveld ( their hair and it looks like WA slept in that suit).
ReplyDeleteAlexia has that look on her face, she’s sick and you can tell
ReplyDeleteOn the Dutch blogs one asked the bloggers not to mention anymore the things that have been said about Princess Alexia. Maybe on this blog one could do the same ?
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteRe: P.Alexia-
Saying that she looks ill is a bit of a stretch.
Her thinness might be caused by the heat and the intensive swimming practiced during her summer holidays.
I also love swimming and get slimmer (still keeping my curves in place, though!) in
summer.
Her hair looks healthy and thick enough.
No doubt she is a born fashionista but she is smiling, no pouty lips.
Love her dark brown boots in particular.
All the other members of the Royal Family look well groomed and appropriately dressed for the occasion.
