The Queen Sonja Singing Competition is held every other year and attracts outstanding young opera and classical music singers from around the world. This year, the competition celebrates its 30th anniversary. On August 21, 2025, Queen Sonja of Norway attended a concert at Oscarshall in Oslo, where Swedish mezzo-soprano Rebecka Wallroth performed selected lieder together with pianist Sveinung Bjelland.This year, 500 singers from 57 countries applied to take part in the competition. In the final, six singers will perform opera arias accompanied by the Oslo Philharmonic under the direction of conductor Nicholas Carter. Jasmin White, winner of the 2023 Queen Sonja Singing Competition, will serve as host. The Queen will be present to award the prizes.

The queen looks good, however, this all-white look, including the purse, lacks pep. The shoes, also white, are unattractive and very strange.

Queen Sonja is petite, wearing white from top to toe is perfect. The «pep» is her smile, perfectly groomed hair and the beautiful lapis lazuli necklace. Grace

The striped jacket and probably the pants too are made of linen, I think.
ردحذفHer white shoes are something one does not see very much. She has indeed a similar pair in a dark color. It could be a typical shoe type of Scandinavia. They have the shape of a shoe type between a boot and a regular shoe. I think she must feel very comfortable in those shoes.
Beautiful well fitting, classic summer pantsuit, very becoming. She looks so elegant. Its wonderful to see her out and about.

Hmm I don’t see hair extensions in pic 4. She has a full head of hair always has, it is the style and perhaps some backcombing

حذفI doubt that the queen wears extensions. She probably has her hair set in curlers, which is what practically all women did in her youth and later, and is sometimes still done, and she might even have a light perm. Look at queen Silvia‘s hair when she has had no professional help, much flatter etc. and less becoming.
