On July 7, 2025, the Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duchess of Gloucester, and King Frederik X of Denmark attended the eighth day of the 2025 Wimbledon Tennis Championships at the All England Club to watch Serbia’s Novak Djokovic play against Australia’s Alex De Minaur. King Frederik made his second consecutive appearance at Wimbledon, having attended the tournament on Sunday before joining the Royal Box on Monday.

Delete@23:03 Why ask where Mary is? It's not a state visit, Frederik is at a sporting event. Dare he not go by himself? A few days ago Máxima & Ariane were in Lucerne at a soccer match, nobody asked where Willem-Alexander was. Maybe tennis is not Mary's "thing"; maybe this, maybe that. Fred goes here; Mary goes there - no big deal lol, whatever their interest is (or where they like to be "seen"). ~~Ruthie

DeleteKing Frederik was with his old friend Christian von Buchwald and his wife. When the king was 15 years old he got a tennis coach, who had been an elite player and recently was educated as a doctor. That was Christian von Buchwald and the two have remained close friends.

ReplyDeleteSince the match was Djokovic vs the Australian player De Minauer, Q.Mary would have been seen as too partial to the latter player.
If I am mistaken, then, I would like to table a proposal: let's all try to find out where Mary is.
And we could investigate where all others royal members are.
I would start with King Charles and Q.Camilla.

DeleteI've noticed that it's always a big mystery here when Frederick and Mary are not together. And doubting theories begin to fly. I hope Mary has some wonderful time together with her children, she still has two minor children.
She’s probably home doing the dishes and heading out for a ride with a friend, tending to the dogs, and waiting for her kids to come home.
