On Saturday, July 5, 2025, Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands attended the 60th anniversary celebration of the Riding for the Disabled Foundation (SPG) at the Madurodam Manege in The Hague. After being welcomed, Princess Beatrix watched a special program themed around the circus, performed by the foundation’s own riders and volunteers.
Founded in 1965, the SPG aims to provide therapeutic horseback riding for children and adults with disabilities. The Madurodam Manege, opened by Princess Beatrix in 1968, continues to offer riding lessons to people with disabilities to this day.
La princesse Beatrix est toujours pimpante pour son âge ; bon choix que l'imprimé de sa longue chemise !
ReplyDeleteGreat to see princess Beatrix visit the disabled riders !! She used to enjoy riding very much when she was younger !!
ReplyDeleteOh what moving images, both of the motivated yet elderly princess, who is so affectionate towards the horses, as well as the contact between the disabled and the healing power of horses. Princess B looks royal as she has all her life.
ReplyDeleteAlways great to see her. She looks lovely.
