On July 18, 2025, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium held meetings with representatives of various humanitarian organizations operating in Gaza. The meeting took place at the Royal Palace in Brussels. Human Smile is organizing aid shipments to Gaza via Jordan, in coordination with the City of Brussels and the Belgian Ministry of Defence. Caritas Belgium is also working with local organizations on the economic development of disadvantaged Palestinian communities.

Of course it is à good suit, but for me not exactly Queen Mathildes style.
ردحذفIn these photos it looks more like a blazer and pants than a suit. Good colour for Mathilde but I think a slightly longer jacket suits her tall grand better, and the jacket and Mathilde would look better with less baggy/broad trousers: more structured material, better cut.
ردحذفI like this look for the queen, love the fit of the jacket and shirt. The lady in the other beige suit seems like the pants are clinging to her knee high stockings.

For an expensive suit, it does not seem to be cut very well to fit the Queen's body. Love the color though and Mathilde's hair is styled beautifully and soft around her face.

I agree Virginia re designers getting sloppy. The very loose trousers are called a trend, but when I examine them in shops they’re seriously cheap designs with absolutely minimal labour, so sloppy is a good word. I do see that looser designs are very comfortable and can be cooler … but to look neat, I don’t think they work at all. Armani is a brand which has always puzzled me as it had a huge name, but it’s designs are ( in my limited experience) never particularly interesting, but expensive due to the label.

ردحذفThe salmon/orange pant suit Queen Letizia wore lately was by Hugo Boss, I think. It was much too wide for her as well the jacket as the pants, but everybody loved it. When Queen Mathilde is wearing a pant suit of which the pants are a bit too wide for her. One comes with all sorts of comments. It is not of our business where she buys her pant suits. She has enough money to buy Armani.
حذف@22:13 I reread the comments you referred to - and, no, not everyone loved Letizia’s oversized suit. One person there also noted what I think: different body shapes can get away with different shaped clothes. I personally don’t think the current trend of poorly fitted trousers and oversized jackets is attractive and think they’re a poor buy because they’ll shortly be out of fashion and wasted. Better to buy classic tailoring, eh?!
حذفI thought the wide trousers would be quickly out of fashion too. But since the last 4 years they are in every collection as well during summer as during winter. For Queen Mathilde there is no problem, she has many classic pant suits with classic pants, she was pretty late to wear wider pants and wider jackets. I must admit that the other wide pant suit (salmon /orange) she has is not by Armani but by Belgian designer Bernard Depoorter and it fits better. I wonder what the royal ladies are doing with the dresses, suits, outfits in general which are out of fashion ? Queen Mathilde is rewearing regularly an older dress or outfit and so is Queen Maxima. Sometimes one can see a daughter with a dress or jacket or blouse which belongs to her mother/grand mother. Sometimes a princess is lending jewelry from her mother or clutches, handbags, hats, etc... Queen Paola is lending out regularly clothes to her daughter in law Princess Claire as well as to her grand daughter Princess Louise. Queen Paola kept a lot of clothes from the time she was queen consort.
حذفWhen you see Queen Mathilde moving in this pant it is much mor beautiful than when she stands still in a group of people. There is also some positive news which might interest you, Queen Mathilde's is wearing long modern earrings in different gold tones by Melissa Kandiyoti. I think her hair is looking better and better. The new hair stylist is probably getting used to the queens hair by now, so that he can handle it better and better.

حذفIf I had a suit like that, I think I asked to iron a fold in my pants. The jacket is nice. If the pants are ironed like that, it could improve the look.
