Belgium’s National Day 2025 celebrations concluded with a grand concert, light show, and traditional fireworks at Jubelpark (Parc du Cinquantenaire) in Brussels. On the evening of July 21, King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, and their children — Crown Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel, and Princess Eléonore — attended the 2025 National Day concert.
The festivities concluded with a laser and drone show, followed by the traditional fireworks display. For the evening event, Queen Mathilde wore a dress from Dries Van Noten’s 2018 collection. Princess Elisabeth wore a one-shoulder draped midi dress by Victoria Beckham, while Princess Eléonore chose a white maxi dress by Temptation Positano.

Now this is again a lovely dress on Princess Eléonore. Queen Mathilde is still looking very good in her older dress by Dries Van Noten. CP Elisabeth looks lovely too in her one shoulder dress by Victoria Beckham, but the wind is playing with the white lining, which is resulting in a less good effect. Maybe cut the lining shorter so that it stays inside the dress.
ReplyDeleteAgree.
DeleteIf the lining were to be shortened, there would be comments that her dress was inappropriate. It has happened before. The lining is visible on the model. The one thing I might suggest is for the lining to be tacked in place, but I don't see it as necessary. It is a dress that is light and airy, and it has movement. That may include seeing more of the lining at times.
DeleteThe lining cannot be attached to the fabric of the dress because it would be more chaotic than now, once the wind is blowing in between.
DeleteAgree, well said.
DeleteA couple of small fabric weights would likely have kept the lining in order. An old tailoring technique that still has value
DeleteA good looking family.
ReplyDeleteWow!, how festive they all look!
ReplyDeleteLove every dress!
EXACTLY what I thought!
DeleteWhat a beautiful family!

Love the dresses of the princesses, not so much the queen's dress.
ReplyDelete15.12 I agree
DeleteThe queens dress is from 2018, maybe a lot of people are not finding it fashionable enough. Personally I like it very much.

Everyone’s looking like a rockstar. The Victoria Beckham dress could be perfect if the hem were the one length and even around the whole dress; the fabric is very nice on the Princess. The more I see of Eleonore the more I like her dress choices best of all.
ReplyDeleteAnother trio of great fashion and style from Queen Mathilde, Elisabeth, and Eleonore. Again, I love Eleonore's dress--she seems to have a taste for floaty, summery dresses (2 have been this style). I love the sandals she has paired with the white dress. Elisabeth's dress by Victoria Beckham is very pretty and very pretty on her. I agree with another poster about the lining issue with the wind--something a seamstress should be able to fix for her. Mathilde's dress fits her beautifully but I'm not a fan of the print (I'm not a fan of most prints--just a personal preference). Still, she looks great.

They have a tailor who is working for the Royal family. But I think it is more difficult than it looks with the lining.
DeleteNever a print is boring.
DeleteElisabeth et Eléonore ont toutes deux de très jolies robes, je préfère ne pas commenter l'autre robe...
ReplyDeleteWell, the Queen went all out for this dress. I like Eleonors dress not a fan of VB's dress at least not the bottom part of the dress. Great looking family.

Paloma.
The young ladies look lovely, though the white bit on Elizabeth's dress is distracting. Mathilde is lovely in her frock, though the shoes look painful and her feet somewhat swollen.

A pity we cannot see anything of the free concert at the Cinquantenaire parc. I know there was a laser and drone show, fireworks, Belgian artists and drink and food bars. I'll have to look it up on You tube.
