The 2025 National Day celebrations in Luxembourg began with an official ceremony held at the Philharmonie. On June 23, 2025, the Grand Ducal Family attended the event, which this year focused on the theme of the 25th anniversary of Grand Duke Henri’s reign. On this occasion, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Claude Wiseler, and Prime Minister Luc Frieden paid tribute to the Grand Duke in their speeches.
Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie, Princess Alexandra, Nicolas Bagory, Prince Félix, Prince Sébastien, Prince Louis, Prince Gabriel, Prince Noah, Prince Guillaume, Princess Sibilla, Prince Jean, Countess Diane, Princess Marie-Astrid, Archduke Carl Christian, Princess Margaretha, and Prince Nikolaus were among those in attendance at the Philharmonie.
Later, a military parade took place on Avenue de la Liberté in the presence of the Grand Ducal Family. As part of the National Day celebrations, a Te Deum thanksgiving service will be held this evening at Notre-Dame Cathedral, which the Grand Ducal Family is expected to attend.
The Grand Ducal Family attended the traditional Te Deum service, marking the conclusion of the National Day celebrations. The hymn was first intoned by His Eminence Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich and then performed by the Maîtrise Sainte-Cécile and the choir of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg.
The ladies all look lovely, nice colours and fit. I am disappointed with Alexandra she just seems not interested in choosing to look her best. She is a beautiful woman, I wish she would fix her hair, it always seems to be scraggly.
ReplyDeleteI always think we should congratulate pregnant women just for showing up. Pregnancy can be so incredibly draining! I think here her hair is very clean and neat and nicely pulled back, and her outfit is classic and enough. - Grace
DeleteGDMT is a miss for me. The dress doesn't look right on her, but the colour is gorgeous. However good on her for not bothering with what anyone thinks and simply wearing with confidence whatever she likes.
ReplyDeleteStephanie's dress looks lovely, as does she. She is upping her sartorial game for sure.

Wat een verkleedpartij al die dagen.
ReplyDeleteStephanie looks so much better once the cape disappeared. The dress is a great style for her. She looks young and pretty—not drowning in all that bulky fabric she’s been wearing lately
ReplyDeleteI'm going to say it. I really like what all the royal women are wearing. I wasn't sure about Stephanie's dress but once she shifted the cape back I really liked it. She can wear a shift style dress so well and the floral accent *pops* the look beautifully. Claire wears my favourite outfit but I think they all look just lovely
ReplyDeleteI don't see a Claire.
Delete@ EhBethI do not see Claire. Please describe her.
DeleteSo much to look at! The Grand Duke and Duchess look wonderful, and always joyful too. I very much admire the generous positivity of this couple. Stephanie’s dress would be more to my taste with a few centimetres extra length, and a more fitted design. I know she prefers very loose garments but I think her figure works much better with tailoring. I notice she nearly always puts something across her tummy in photos (handbag or hands) and I hope she can overcome the habit for a better posture and look. They said, being in the public eye must be hard and hiding a little is also natural. I don’t know the name of the lady walking holding her husband’s hand, but I find her blue/white dress absolutely gorgeous, along with her scarf and shoes. What fun. - Mary
ReplyDelete@ Her name is Princess Sibilla, the wife of Prince Guillaume and sister in law of Grand Duke Henri.
DeleteWow, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie look so lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very very beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteClaire ?? I only see Felix !!
ReplyDeleteIf GD Maria-Teresa's dress was a tad shorter and Prinsess Stéphanie's dress a lad longer , it would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteMaria Teresa et Stéphanie ont réussi à avoir un look élégant dans leur robe dont une fuchsia et l'autre blanche !

ReplyDeletePrincess Marie-Astrid is a woman of class!
