On June 10, 2025, Princess Marie visited the Danish House (Danmarkshuset) and Frederik’s Church (Frederikskirken) in Paris to mark the 70th anniversary of both institutions, which are celebrating the milestone throughout the year with various events. The Danish House was inaugurated in 1955 by King Frederik IX and President of the Republic René Coty. Its mission is to promote Danish culture and industry in France.
Princess Marie was welcomed by Helene Lanza, Director of the Danish House; Catherine Lefebvre, Press and Cultural Attaché at the Danish Embassy in Paris; and Pastor Malene Bendtsen. During the visit, the Princess viewed the photo exhibition “Double Miroir” by Project Pressure, showcasing works by Peter Funch and Klaus Thymann.

Marie looks great. I read up on the designer and her love of silk, very interesting. For this particular dress, I wonder if it wouldn’t look more balanced with a rounded neckline. I find with the under breast ruching forming an upward pointing v and the deep v neckline forming a downward pointing v that chest area is a little overemphasised. Can’t find the exact right word for that, but as a wannabe seamstress, it seems the balance could be better with a slightly higher and rounded neckline.
ردحذفThe style of this dress is the 1940-1945 dress style for ladies. The sleeves have the same finish as the neckline going further downward in the skirt of the dress.
