The summer solstice marks Midsommar in Sweden — a celebration that, while literally meaning ‘mid-summer’, actually marks the beginning of summer and the longest day of the year. To mark the occasion, the Swedish Royal Court shared new photos of Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar among flowers, wishing everyone a happy summer. For the occasion, Princess Estelle wore an embroidered textured dress by Zara.

      Yeah, the police must be very busy… making sure everyone dances around the maypole safely! But don't forget about 17th of May — it’s basically a nationwide parade with no shortage of ‘enthusiastic’ celebrations. Police there are busy too, making sure the bunad stays wrinkle-free and no one gets lost in a sea of flags! 😉

      In swedish we would write

      "Många ingripanden av polisen under midsommar i Sverige" or
      "Polisen gjorde många ingripanden under midsommarhelgen"
