On June 29, 2025, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain hosted an official dinner at the Royal Alcázar of Seville in honor of the heads of state participating in the 4th United Nations International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4). The United Nations International Conference will take place from June 30 to July 3, 2025, in Seville.
The international conference will address new and emerging issues, the urgent need to fully implement the Sustainable Development Goals, and the support for reforming the international financial architecture. FfD4 will assess progress in the implementation of the Monterrey Consensus, the Doha Declaration, and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda.

ردحذفThe neckline is a little low and revealing for a royal. They are usually more on them modest/conservative side when it comes to clothing. But the dress is beautiful and the embroidered detail is stunning.
حذفEven Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria, in their youth, wore strapless gowns that showed a little cleavage and exposed their décolletage. Certainly royals in previous centuries wore gowns that were very revealing. It is all about the style of the day. This belief that royals, especially queens, can't wear certain things is not true, but an idea that some in the public believe should be true. Royals today typically are more reserved, but they are still people. As long as they are not dressing in a vulgar way, they shouldn't be judged for a lower neckline or shorter hemline if it is what is in fashion and the event supports it. Women take better care of themselves than in generations past. Because of healthy diets, exercise, and advanced skin care, they look more youthful than previous generations which allows them to wear more youthful styles longer.
حذفSandra you should see portraits of María Eugenia de Battenberg, Queen of Spain or Eugenia de Montijo, also Queen of Spain. In this country royals have never been modesto or conservative about clothing.
حذفWhat a beautiful dress. It would have been even better if she had shortened it by a couple off inches to match her lower heels. You really notice the difference from her previous wearing of it. It’s still a gorgeous dress.

ردحذفGreat dress. If I look at the last pictures when she still wore the stiletto's, the length of the dress was fine. Now with the lower heels she should have made the dress (all her dresses) a bit shorter. The fashion rules are : the lower the heels the shorter the skirt, the higher the heels the longer the skirt.
ردحذفSome would argue that longer hemlines with lower heels give off a graceful, vintage elegance, while others are all about proportions and leg line. It’s part art, part illusion, and a whole lot of personal preference.
حذف21 years ago I visited the Alcazar in Sevilla. When I was there, an artist was repairing the mozaique stones of an inside fountain. The tourists were allowed to look how he did its work. Very precious work, very interesting. I didn't know the Alcazar was still used by the King and Queen to receive guests.
