In 2025, Hanaholmen celebrates 50 years as a center for Swedish-Finnish cooperation and culture. King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia have arrived in Finland to take part in the anniversary celebrations. On June 2, the King and Queen were welcomed by Finland’s President Alexander Stubb and his wife, Suzanne Innes-Stubb, at the Presidential Palace.
Hanaholmen (Hanasaari) is an island in Espoo, Finland. The Hanaholmen Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre, which includes its own hotel, is located on the island. The center was built using funds that Sweden had loaned to Finland during World War II — a loan that Sweden later forgave. The Hanaholmen Cultural Centre was officially inaugurated on June 1, 1975, by King Carl Gustaf and Finnish President Urho Kekkonen.
Love the coat dress, lovely colour and fit. The queen looks nice. The 4 & 5th photos are a good example of how footwear makes an outfit. Do jump on me, I know why the queen is wearing the footwear she does, and I am not criticizing that. Circumstances dictate what needs to be worn, it is just a observation of how the overall look is affected
ReplyDeleteI understand hat you are saying. Shoes are a very important part of the overall look.
DeleteFrom my perspective, neat black leather shoes with a black suit work well. High or low, pointed or rounded, doesn’t matter. In this case I find the blouse a little untidy with the untied bow ( but I always find blouses with ties untidy cf collars), but the shoes totally blend in. I love the blazer dress!
DeleteI mean don’t jump on me
ReplyDeleteI didn’t see any footwear; I saw an exquisite cut blazer!
ReplyDeleteWe’ve seen the Finnish PM and his wife a number of times lately and I’m always very impressed by her style. (He’s not too bad either! ). This blazer dress is just beautiful on her. Both colour and fit are excellent. I continue to admire Q.Silvia for carrying on regardless of her foot surgery. The pantsuit is a flattering choice although I find the tie neck blouse a bit untidy. ReplyDeleteHe is President of Finland, not Prime Minister (PM). From what I can see from other pictures the Queen's suit is blue, beautiful. The First Lady's dress is lovely as well.

The PM's wife looks beautiful, the coat dress fits perfectly, the color is gorgeous. They are a good looking and well groomed couple. The Queen looks beautiful. I like her ensemble.
ReplyDeleteNice looking suit.

Beaucoup d'élégance chez l'épouse du Président finlandais dans cette robe-manteau dont j'aime la couleur !
