On Saturday, June 14, 2025, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, accompanied by Princess Marie-Astrid and Archduke Carl Christian of Austria, took part in the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Schengen Agreement, which marked the beginning of the free movement of people across the European continent.
To commemorate the occasion, two historic symbols were restored: the Schengen Museum and the boat that witnessed the signing ceremony. The vessel was renamed “Prinzessin Marie-Astrid Europa” by Princess Marie-Astrid. In 1985, Germany, France, and the Benelux countries signed the Schengen Agreement in the village of Schengen, initiating the gradual abolition of identity checks at their shared borders.
Jolie veste à grands carreaux orange/crème que la princesse Astrid a su combiner avec son pantalon tout en rajoutant une légère étole !
