On June 6, Sweden celebrates its National Day and Swedish Flag Day. In 2025, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel participated in the celebrations held in Hagaparken. This year, the Royal Family marked the occasion with events in Nybro, Solna, and Stockholm. Hagaparken is situated just north of Stockholm in the suburb of Solna. National Day is observed annually on June 6 to commemorate the election of King Gustav Vasa in 1523.
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended a concert featuring soloists from the Royal Swedish Opera, the Royal Swedish Court Orchestra, and the Royal Swedish Opera Chorus, along with dancers from the Royal Swedish Ballet, who performed excerpts from the ballet and opera repertoire. The concert also included Swedish summer music performed by the children's choir from the Solna School of Culture.
ReplyDeleteI like the colours of this dress and the summery style of it. However Victoria's version seems a little too long in the length and sleeves. If both had been shorter by 2 or 3 inches such as on the model, I think she would look much better in it.

Dress with buttoned front on the National Day? Though rather boring pattern, but could be OK on her birthday celebration next month. On this day too casual for the future Queen

DeleteWhat's wrong with the buttons? ;-)
I think the casual style fits this afternoon park-concert very well, and they change into the national costume for the more formal evening concert. Which is perfectly suitable for a future queen in northern Europe in 2025 ;-)
I’m sure Victoria has exactly the right formality for each event. This is an outdoor concert in the park (where I grew up!) and most will be in trousers and sensible shoes. Sweden for a long time has dressed much more casually than eg London and there are no expectations for National Day.
DeleteLovely lovely dress!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I like this dress a lot and she looks lovely!

Awe the hankie dress. Not her best look despite the dress fitting her so well.
ReplyDeleteA table cloth.
ReplyDeleteBut honestly, it’s actually a pretty bold and stylish choice. Sometimes the fun patterns and bold prints are exactly what make an outfit stand out!
DeleteUne jolie robe très estivale que je pense lui avoir déjà vue ; le mannequin qui est plus grand que Victoria de quelques centimètres a une meilleure allure !
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely dress. Its a bit long, but regardless, it fits well. Love her sandals.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress--and Victoria looks beautiful in it. It's such a pretty spring/summer dress and the colors remind me of a spring garden.

03.54 I agree!
DeleteThe shawl gives off a vibe of matronly and "old lady" . It's the way she is wearing it. Either carry is on one arm or wear it covering your chest and neck at an angle . Part of the dress I like, but the sleeves could have been designed better and more fitted.
ReplyDeleteWhy chest and neck if, for example, your back needs a bit of extra warmth, but neither your neck nor your chest? I have never heard of such rigorous rules for how to drape a stola. Maybe she could drag it behind her to give it a youthful vibe.
